Edit Master chef skill perks
Having the first 3 levels on this perk increase the speed food is cooked is kind of redundant since the wait times has never been a bottleneck in demand, it's the ingredients. I suggest replacing that part with the ability to substitute certain ingredients.
ie: hobo stew you could use any two veggies instead of only potato and corn.

this would make the skill feel less useless when you end up finding the recipes later on

Faster cooking makes sense. Yes, you are not limited on time, but 30% adds up quick, when making food and drinks, in bulk.

Having things burn for less time cuts down on heat generation too which can be crucial in the early stages while you're only equipped a twig n berries.

Id say that being able to survive with more availability to food is greater than saving a few seconds of heat signature

Bulk cooking should not be an issue, either youre early game and wont even have the items to bulk cook let alone consume it all or youre late game and if its a problem just make another campfire

Whew, you're on a roll with all of these demands to meet your desires.
Let's just face the facts. This game is coming along nicely and your wants don't match up with your needs. :steamfacepalm:

Actually these are things i think could help improve the game as a whole, i never said the game was bad but things could always use touch up's.

You just sound like a sad and angry chomby looking for things to take issue with

Even quite early, you have the resources to bulk cook red tea...
Plus, cooking faster, means you can spend less time in base and more time out looting. And no, more campfires, is not always the answer, as that takes more space and more micro managing.

More campfires also add to the activity map, increasing the chances of a screamer spawn.

Or add a quality to food to set the master cook apart from other team members.

That! That is a great suggestion! Right now there is no reason to put points into cooking when finding the recipe will give you the same exact end product. Have the possibility for food to made more filling / better bonus if cooked by a better chef.

This suggestion can be extended to vehicules since making one at level 0 or level 5 nets you the same vehicule.

The schematics are not useless after you have already mastered the skill. You can save the schematics and look at the re-spec potion. The game allows the player to balance his wants and needs.

In other words ... You can forget about needing Master Chef if you don't want the added bonus of cooking time. Now you can re-spec your characters career towards something you need (i.e. Advanced Engineering) because you need to make a crucible now.

Everybody has to juggle (balance) their own experience.

I have never sat and thought "oh man I need my food to hurry up." Only for melting ores and mixing cement.

The ingredient efficiency is okay but really none of the cooking perks are that great. If you can find the recipes they are a waste of points.

Food quality and bring back vehicle quality, or provide speed/fuel efficiency/durability boosts for Grease monkey.
