Let's just face the facts. This game is coming along nicely and your wants don't match up with your needs.
You just sound like a sad and angry chomby looking for things to take issue with
Plus, cooking faster, means you can spend less time in base and more time out looting. And no, more campfires, is not always the answer, as that takes more space and more micro managing.

This suggestion can be extended to vehicules since making one at level 0 or level 5 nets you the same vehicule.
The schematics are not useless after you have already mastered the skill. You can save the schematics and look at the re-spec potion. The game allows the player to balance his wants and needs.
In other words ... You can forget about needing Master Chef if you don't want the added bonus of cooking time. Now you can re-spec your characters career towards something you need (i.e. Advanced Engineering) because you need to make a crucible now.
Everybody has to juggle (balance) their own experience.
The ingredient efficiency is okay but really none of the cooking perks are that great. If you can find the recipes they are a waste of points.
Food quality and bring back vehicle quality, or provide speed/fuel efficiency/durability boosts for Grease monkey.
