More Craftable Furniture/Decor?
Not sure if this has been brought up before, but I was wondering if there were any eventual plans to add more crafting recipes for items you can use to spruce up your base a bit, or even maybe try to restore an existing house you may move into? I've found while exploring different building and houses, there are quite a few items that you are not able to craft and put in your own base, or pick them up and bring them home. I realize that this isn't the main focus of the game, but the building is a very enjoyable aspect to me compared to focusing on combat, and I would love to see new recipes for the things we see but can't have yet (i.e. electronic control panel block things from bunkers/radio stations, full sized grills, industrial decor, etc.). I've seen some things such as sinks and barstools in the trader's sale inventory, which is nice, but definitely not everything or at least not yet in my game, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, is it yet possible to restore most of the houses to match their original colors/materials with what is in game already? For example, I just came across a house I'd love to fix up but it's exterior texture is a creamy yellow so I'm assuming it would be possible with finding the same color paint/dye or something and painting a wood block? If this is indeed how it works and is possible then perfect, but if not I'd love to be able to do it.

There's plenty of other items in the creative menu. When pimping my bases I'll go into it to get clean doors, lighting, appliances, get the junction blocks to hide wires, or whatever else I need. And I pay for these items the best I can by throwing out the equivalent in resources. Doors are easy since they're doors. Appliances I'll toss out some forged iron, electrical, mechanical, and plastics.
I'm sure the real recipes for all game items are buried in the ini files, but I don't have time for that.

Vedui has made a modlet exactly for this. I'll give you the link to his video. The link to the modlet is in the description.

There you go. Have fun decorating! ;)

In a combat game like you said it is, even though it is also crafting we cannot expect the devs to make everything craftable while its still in alpha. There are much higher priorities. And for painting any texture thats in the game you can duplicate it is as simple as making a paintbrush with 1 leather and grabbing some paint. Hold R and compy that texture or browse the many that they have.

Where we cannot expect the devs to implement what everyone wants, there are modders that take the time and energy to make what we want. It is actually alot quicker to search for what you want and install it than flooding it here getting mediocre answers. I took the time to find what you need.

Thanks to both for the helpful/polite answers ;)

I do the same as Trooper Bri.

I don't feel it's cheating if the item is purely cosmetic and I throw out whatever materials I think it would take to make the item.

For instance if I CM myself a nice couch I'll toss out some leather, cloth, wood, springs and nails.
