Anyone experience the teleport commands with random gens? Coords seem to be way off.
I have zoomed in as much as possible on the map, taken cell photo of the coords just for accurace.. teleported a player to those cords and he is always south and east of the coords entered in the command. Anyone experience this?

Thanks,

I can't say that I have had any issue teleporting myself. I've not used it on another player in a while though. Are you taking into account the difference in numbering and order of elements in the teleport command. Proper negatives, etc?

Post the coordinates you issued to the teleport command and the coordinates the player arrived.

Logs from one of the attempts?

Yes it was tele 497 200 -1 -570

On random gen, player 497, n i read -1 was for default ground and the 3rd one was a west cord. Player 497 appeared south east of intended target location. I dont have the exact coords for his location though.

I've only teleported myself and it's been accurate. Sorry, I have no experience teleporting others

If you can verify that you are doing it correctly and its still breaking, I would suggest trying to figure out how far off it is and report it as a bug, I'm sure that would be useful if you could give them enough info

i dont like using coords to teleport lol, i go to the site and tele the player to me.

also, i read 200 -1 -570 as 200e 570s, if it was 200n 570w you wanted, then you should put -570 -1 200 as east-west is 1st coord.

Next time you have such an isse, write down both the command used and the coordinates the user arrived at. Details from the lp command both before and after the teleport would be nice as well.

Update, this is a non issue and was user error. When i first attempted i was using coords from the map, but entering them in the same order as the map. which is reverse, when using the cords in the order of the lp command, it was right on target. I always think NS first, then EW second. But in the tele command, its EW cords first, NS second.

Thanks much

That difference between the map and how lp + teleport work gets me sometimes as well. I've done the very same thing that's why I suggested the lp command. :)
