It's ok for stamina to be issue on the begining, but to be an issue till the end is not. You should be able to swing normal attacks with steel tools/sledgehammer without losing any stamina after you maxed T-Rex. I would even like that Miner69er decrease stamina usage for tools only, like it used to pre A17. Power attacks are a different thing, they should always make your stamina go down fast.
Edit: even ergonomic grip doesn't help, you need to chug coffee constantly if you are using steel tools for mining.
Theres no more 10 stacks of iron by day 5 just from mining and an entire large concrete base by day 7 just with one person mining resources.
you used to be able to, what happened it people rushed to it and ended up with concrete bases by day 7 and were bored.
Drink some coffee, find the mining book for blackstrap coffee, find the book that gives extra for drinking coffee. Theres plenty of things built into the game to help right now.
Some gamer's play the system.
The Dev's change the game to counter what a few gamer's do.
Older gamer's have to yet again change how they play the game because of extreme changes to specifics because of another groups actions.
Said gamer's look for new exploits.
And on and on.
In a few weeks coffee and beer may be gone or be locked behind something.
I would rather the system was balanced to be playable without relying on magic potions.
I saw that todays update reduced Iron tool's stamina cost which is a good step, it was requiring 3 points in sexyrex just to manage them before.
And the ergonomic grip DOES help, it's like one level of t-rex in itself. Just because it's not enough in itself doesn't mean it should be overlooked.
I dunno if the armor stamina penalty only affects sprinting, or if it affects all stamina drain, but personally I don't do mining/harvesting while wearing armor just in case.
And people complaining about late game stamina drain without having an auger and chainsaw: sorry, but you've yet to get your ass to the late game.
With all of this I personally felt the stamina was managable enough before this current patch, though was agreeing that the tools could need a slight stamina adjustment. This patch gave us that tool adjustment, so there should be no more need to complain about stamina imo if people just try to adapt a little as well.
