29th for anyone who want to op-in to play an unstable experimental build.
Haven't actually seen any major difference so far, this would be polished A18 with minor changes and additional weapons that I could already have via mods. The one thing I wanna see here is RWG. In my case it can and will make huge difference. If terrain stamps are the same as A18 then I would be pretty dissapointed.
Might take a minute to actually read through the Patch Notes.
Anyway you'll be happy to know that the new RNG has a special feature thet will specifically try to use as many different, unique and new POIs as possible (they were talking about 513 different ones during last stream!)
There's something new and cool for each aspect of the game:
- The new DMS (Dynamic Music System) for the ears!
- The new and updated graphics overall for the eyes!
- The new rebalanced Perks, Loot and Quests for gameplay!
Just a few to pick from the great changes, not to mention the much improved AI and QoL improvements to the HUD and the ISS! :-]They have made just 2 new stores (electronics) and 5 or 6 ranger stations for A19, everything else is just reworked (all stores and red mesa). Maybe we see 513 new POIs, but that's not gonna happen during A19 (and this topic is about A19).
Don't get me wrong, I like the work they have done, especially new lightning. Skills are pretty much the same just made easier to get because of lowered requirements. I was hoping for more "random" terrain placement because after 1400 hours all I care about now is how the world arround me looks, and every random world in A18 looks the same. Same 4 hills, same island layout, same biome picture and same small towns with same 2 factories in them.
In a19 you can do a lot more with RWG than you could with a18, and they've done a lot of work on minor touches to individual systems.
