Perimeter alarm W/ tripwire
It would be a pretty cool idea if perimeter alarms like the ones from
https://fithops.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTcOsopq-nM or similar designs were implemented into the game for PVP able to be used with a tripwire that you can anchor to multiple points to cover either one pathway or a few facades of an area. The alerting sound would be like a gunshot that all players can hear in the vicinity and single shot but reusable with a 12G shell, either blank flashbang shells or live ammo. It could also be a cool idea to be able to set it up as a deadly trap in a doorway aiming at the direction you choose.

I hope TFP like the idea and maybe put it in for a future update. If they see this, thanks for taking the time to read.

You can always use the electric tripwire as a warning.
Forgot to mention it should be really hard to see for anyone not an ally and easy to make as a player starting out that doesn't have good tech yet and not powered by electric.

Link a tripwire or camera to a speaker and/or lights and you’ll have an early warning system. It works best if you have a base set up with limited entrances the zombies will approach, so you don’t have to cover the whole perimeter.

Cameras can be set to only activate at zombies or for everyone.

Just remember to have an easy way to turn it off, as the alarms get annoying after a while if a horde comes along.

Edit: didn’t see the second post there about non-electric. Perhaps a tripwire linked to a chain of cans would be a good addition to the game for an early game warning system.

The game was never intended fpr PVP so there is pretty much no point to officially work on stuff not aimed toward PVE. Mods would be your best hope.

why use a trip wire when the game already has motion sensors that you can hook up to traps and speakers for early warning?
Yeah i was thinking early game easy and fast to get up without alot of materials or skills and low maintenance like once its set you don't have to mess with it until its set off unlike fuel for generators and if you don't have cameras manually switching traps on and off but only for PvP since its no use against zombies. Granted there are other ways to get around perimeter defenses like tunneling underground unless you have a buff floor ect.

Pretty much this, except until recently, I didn't know that you could even use the motion sensors alone. I thought they were just like, mechanical parts or springs or whatever, a crafting ingredient in the recipe for shotgun and smg turrets.

Once I found out they could be deployed on their own, that made a world of difference. :) So you make a good point, and now anyone who reads this who was ignorant like me, will know.
