Is single player fun?
I've always played this as a multiplayer since I started. Do people play single player? What are the benefits of single player?

Singleplayer can be fun to a point. If you get late enough in game, it's just boring after a while. Multiplayer is so much better.

It's a question of your taste and how smart your and funny friends are.

I always prefer mp.

No raiders or hackers. No lag. Other than that mp is much better.:steamhappy:

Single-player has its qualities. You can go where you want at your own pace and all the best loot is automatically yours.

But I would definitely say it's harder too. You can't split duties with someone else so you have to try and do twice as much. All the less-fun stuff you may not like to do you now have to do instead of relying on someone else who may enjoy that task (mining/farming, etc.)

Yes, most players favorite something. In a group you can more make of what you want to do. One loves to farm, other to loot, other to mine,...

Why not play both?
i love singleplayer. It's a little slow and you need to spend lots of time doing literally everything but i personally enjoy it. Benefits are having things your way and not having to share loot or items between players which may not even be a positive in the eyes of others, but for me it's nice not having to share guns/loot.

there are no threats that require multiple players to solve.

instead of more fun, MP game result in less loot.

pvp is joke, it's solely about get raided offline

There isn't any story or quest in single player, I find that a shame really.

Its a sandbox survival. None of them have that.

I've gotten equal enjoyment from SP and MP for different reasons...most of which have already been mentioned.

Ultimately, you'll just have to try it to know for sure...not everyone enjoys the solitary apocalypse life...wish we could place mannequins around town while we wait for NPCs ;)

There is no sense of urgency in SP. With this experimental I am playing single player for the first time since a13. I find I lose interest much quicker and dont really feel the push to get things done. There is no looking forward to raiding, or that feeling of being a hunter looking for ppl and also being the hunted and preparing accordingly. I mean zombies ya, but they just dont honk my horn like going up against a team of actual players. Win or lose its worth.

Almost all of my 4k+ hours have been single player with a small chunk, lan with the wife. Why do I like it so much, well first off I'm a hermit and people creep me out in the main, but mostly I like the challenge of not having someone to cover your back.

Playing solo changes the whole experience from one of working with the buddy system to being dependant on your own senses and situational awareness. Gathering, building etc take on a more deathly slant and this ramps up the whole immersion and twitchyness.

Now I love playing lan with choccy but as a team we fly through the game without much aggro, well we did until experimental hit, thats made the game a challenge for us both as a team which is awesome, hope that explains it from this old hermits perspective.:HappyMask::wololo::rf:

I have to agree with Hashy here. SP is more challenging and having to do everything yourself changes your stratagy up considerably. For example in my SP games I build a base with a tiny perimiter to defend. Since there is only me to defend all 4 sides, and I can only be on one said at a time. So if the perimiter is huge you end up taking more damage by not having a line of sight on all 4 sides. Which in turn is more resource harvesting and repair time.

Or you can even try be a nomad (aka do not make a base) and roam around squatting in POI's. It's a totally different game when played this way. Inventory management becomnes a crucial skill for your continued survival.

I'd reccomend anyone that has not tried SP do so. You'll wonder why you never tried it yet once you do! :7days:

Singleplayer is good in that you dont have to worry about griefers, hackers, etc.. But its kinda boring to play alone. Multiplayer can be annoying with griefers, hackers, people having already looting everything. I'd really like to play on a small private server with just a small group of people not a large open server but I have no friends so bleh.
