Need help regarding Darkness Fall Mod

I am currently launching my 7DTD from steam but I also have a separate 7DTD folder that is set up for Darkness Falls using the 7DTD mod launcher program. My question is do I need 2 separate locations or can I copy over Darkness Falls folder to my steamapps and have the new splash screen as well as not needing to alternate switching if I want to play on which? My set up now is I have 2 Dedi servers from the server rental gameservers.com and 1 of my server is 20mods Vanilla and the other is Darkness Falls. When I launch from steam I can only play the 20mods one and not the Darkness Falls one and if I do join that one I get blockplantgrowingwithwater xml loader loading and parsing failed error but if I launch the game using Mod launcher it is fine. I just want to consolidate it so its easier to manage and its less hassles for my guild mates if they want to join the game
