answer in answer ;)
the rules are, you can run a single fuelled station indeffinately without calling the screamer, you can run cement mixer and/or workstation whilst running the 1 powerd station without calling the screamer.
if while running 1 station you do upgrades/make noise etc, screamer will come, if you run 2 powered stations at once she will come, screamers are very easy to avoid if yopu follow these rules.
EDIT: if you have spikes around your base, check them regularly for animal carcasses, they give big heat.
I'm more thinking about sound caused by using the device.
Though I will say I've gotten screamers before for no reason at all. On this save, I had one on my first night while not using any stations at all, had only cut down 4 trees and 2 rocks in the area, and hadn't killed any animals to leave their guts.
its possible an animal died in that area to cacti or zeds, heat was high because of that and the chopping put you over.
as regards noise, stations are like any container, only making noise when opening or closing, only really an issue if you live on ground floor tho.
So more than one source has said the workbench does not add to the heatmap?
a15 release notes state workstation and cement mixer heat removed, 100% backed up by excessive use by myself while running forge, no screamers have ever arrived.
"Changed: Cement mixers and workbenches do not emit heat"
How is that a change if they just added that in? Also screamers seem to love my cement mixer as well as I saw .xml files that indicated otherwise too...
i saw that file too, release notes and observations say its not so tho.
i will test it later and put it to bed.
I'm not doubting you so much as I just have conflicting info here, and from casual observation on my behalf it seems the mixer at least adds heat.
same here, only observations, i will test to be sure.
