Cant get 4k, reverts to 3072 X 1728
Hi guys, I have a 4k monitor and I can select 3840 X 2160 in the settings of the game, but it reverts it to 3072 X 1728. I tried to set the values in the registry but it still reverts back to the lower resolution.

Anyone come across this and have a solution?

Thanks

You should report this as a bug so that the devs know. I suggest you go to the bug section of the forum and read the how to report a bug post (it's pinned at the top).

Hold down the left ctrl button as you launch the game. Keep it help down. This should bring up the 7 Days to Die Configuration menu. From here you can set your screen resolution. See if that helps.

So wait if you only get 3840 res why do they call it 4k? Just curious i am happy with 1080, i probably wont have 4k res till it becomes the standard.

Because it's 1920x2 X 1080x2. So you get 3840 X 2160. It's easier to multiply with integers (whole numbers) than fractions. It will help for example when showing 1920x1080 material on a so called 4k screen. Every low res pixel becomes 4 high res pixels. Exactly. With 4000 pixel with you'll have to chop some pixels. The with of 3840 is also *roughly* 4000 so that's another reason ti call it 4x. So it should have been called 4x not 4k imho. /rant

Also I don't think playing this game on any current GFX card will yeld good FPS at 4k resolution with ultra settings. It is way too unoptimezed. You can probably get awesome screenshots though...
