Error Code: 20006 (Cannot create service(StartService failed: 2)) PLEASE HELP
I have tried everything i can think of. I have re-installed, Put every file in the folder to not be blocked by my anti virus/Firewall, I've verified files and re-installed some more, I've replaced a .dll file i had found as a fix on an old post and it didnt work, i've run the anti cheat exe and uninstalled -repaired and reinstalled the anti cheat from this application. Now the thing that kills me is that i can start this game from the exe file and play it properly just fine with nothing going wrong. I can't however play this with the anti cheat softwaree so i can not connect to servers and i can't use the steam overlay.
PLEASE HELP, I hope i have given enough information for a little help
Thank you for your time and i hope to get back to playing this game soon as I really wanted to try this new update.

If you are not intending on joining any other players EAC enabled servers, I'd recomend you play without EAC. Its a terrible piece of anti-cheat software which causes more issues than it helps.

It causes Lag, stutter, FPS drops, loading delays and a whole host of other issues.

The solution is there, you need to fix your Windows installation or update/change your anti-virus software, there's something wrong or not up to date with it. Other people have solved by updating or reinstalling Windows in the past.

I'm sorry there's no easier solution, that's it. :-|

If you receive this error none of the above will fix it for you. Here is the Fix:

You are probably running on a 64-bit OS or Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher. EasyAntiCheat installs a Windows Service, you'll notice when looking at the service it is pointing to C:\Windows\System32\ for EasyAntiCheat.exe. However the installer detects 64-bit and installs it into C:\Windows\SysWOW64 instead. Go into C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and copy EasyAntiCheat.exe out of there and into C:\Windows\System32 directory, and try again. This will fix this issue for you.

You can feel free to thank me and give me props for figuring this out!

You are a mfing hero. Thank you so much! I could no longer play Watch Dogs 2 or Wildlands. This fixed it. I can't believe their installer is so stupid.

Yea this will come in handy! :steamhappy:

...since there is multiple ways EAC :shit:s the bed all the time rendering people unable to launch the game. This invasive 3rd party shovelware is completely ineffective at stopping cheaters too. A simple password is all we need. Not this bloatware that poses a security risk in itself. :steamsalty:
