How to efficently raise the medicine skill?
What is the best way to raise the Medicine skill? So far i have used about maybe 10 or 15 first aid bandages in my world and i just reached level 2 in medicine. Is there any other way to raise this skill without having to waste precious skillpoints on it or grind away aloe farms?

Making simple cloth bandages seems to be best. Does take loads of cloth though.

Confirming that bandages are probably the best option. I'm using about 40 bandages per level. Aloe works too but give the same xp per.

farming aloe and cotton seems the best way to craft many First Aid Bandage. Consider abusing yourself with traps to gain armor and medicine skill. I think it's Worth a try

Just spam craft a lot of normal cloth bandages and use them en masse at night or at times when you are not doing anything. I just used like 400 on my multiplayer game and went up from 18 to like 25.

At that point you are just wasting aloe

If you are just spamming for medicine skill, regular bandages raise the skill just fine

Use anything that's a medicinal item, even if you don't need it right now

Clearing out a pop n pills and don't need all that extra clutter? Just use all the bandages and splints and vitamins, etc as soon as you find them

Otherwise, farm cotton, make tons of regular bandages

You don't need to be healing hp to raise medicine, it goes up just from using the items

If it's late game and you have tons of materials available and you still want to raise it more? Make splints. They stack in a much larger stack than any other medicine item and you can walk around with a huge stack of them on your tool bar just right clicking them as you walk

Overall though, it's not really that important. You don't get much from raising your medicine skill and quite frankly you are better off learning how to not get hit as much

By the time you need a med kit, the amount you get healed from it with low versus high medicine skill is minimal

Maybe combo it with standing on barbed wire, and healing. Raise your armor and medicine one time. Breaks your armor slowly tho :/ might want to wear lame clothes to suffice

Edit: I mean like on downtime when you placing barbed wire and repairing defense :D
Don't want to be caught by a screamer while you stuck in barbed wire :[ Get that slow moving effect

A few other things you can do is use blood draw kits and eat blood bags for additional medicine skill, it shouldent be overlooked as atleast one other has stated, but you dont need to max it by and far, even just roughly level 30 medicine skill increases the effect of all health restoration by +60%, which is a very significant boost, level 100 medicine doubles healing, which for 70 more skill points isnt a large gain, but its still nothing to sneeze at, certainly helps make first aid kits more potent since each one will be healing 120 health by then, making just two of them ensure maximum healing for any character.

Oh and if you happen to acrue a large sampling of aloe to make first aid bandages, perhaps go find the nearest cactus and spoon with it till your armor hits 100, only takes about an hourish to go from 0 to 100 that way, and makes most high quality, high tier and specialist armors significantly more effective.

Get rid of the awnings on buildings, each block gives 4 cloth and is enough for 2 bandages. A pass n gas can get you 500+ cloth
