I think if such a feature were to find it's way into the game, it would be best served as a package of features, such as low - gore, no gibbing of limbs, less blood, etc. Kind of a "low gore/less offensive" mode. One change for removing boobies seems like it would be tedious, and for a small minority, but if you could turn it into a game option, wherein it drastically reduces the things mentioned above, then it can be a feature.

Perhaps something for people who disregard the M rating and let their young or impressionable children play, or people who just aren't into gore and violence as strongly as your average member of the audience.

@OP Knowing FunPimps it will take at last 5 months to even consider maturity options.
You are better off modifying the files yourself. XML is very easy language, you can do it even with basic document editing skills.

Anything is easy to code, since config is in XML.
Fun Pimps are taking their sweet time though to provide a simple control innterface to turn XML options on and off.

My 7yo nephew is playing Plants vs Zombies or whatever, which is just a bit less gorey than this game. Hard to judge.
Picts had no problem having their kids executing captured Romans, but we live in another time.

I think we can skip over comments like "kids shouldn't be playing" and the like, they are superfluous. Congratulations, you've identified the M on the label of this game, that doesn't make you an out-of-the-box thinker with regard to your commentary on children playing, it isn't clever, cute or funny.

People raise their kids their way, some people have different sensibilities than you do, for religious or other reasons and there's no reason to be a jerk about considering a feature to INCLUDE MORE PEOPLE in the game. This exclusionary dark souls mentality of "git gud" or "get over it" are voicings from children and emotionally immature adults.

Neomus I think you can edit \steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\Config/entitiyclasses.xml and replace <mesh>Zombies/zombieStandardStripperRagdoll</mesh> with another mesh.

Well yeah, in quite a few countries, violence, gore, blood and dismemberment will only get you hit with a 13+ rating at most, but as soon as you see any titties, suddenly you get hit by a 17+ rating, and any intercourse scene will get you a straight 18+ rating, if not outright banned. It is unfortunate, but that is the case for a very big part of the world.

Mind you, I do not think children under 13 should be playing this type of game, but to each their own.
On the other hand, the fun pimps ARE making a 17+ game, so really, they don't have to make available any parental control option. For that matter, they didn't even have to make all these option available to us, and especially not give us access to mod this game as much as we want(I am happy and grateful they did, don't misinterpret me there).

And really, tittes aren't that bad, only reason I'd see to needing to have them removed from the game is if you're a youtuber. An option to maybe blur them like in rust would be awsome though, as I doubt you can make that change through XML.

Both sides are acting pretty childish in my opinion though, which does reflect weirdly for a mature game forum.

As an aside, the forum should have a disclaimer that the fun pimps do not visit these forums often, if at all.

Have you ever heard of "acceptance level"? Everyone has one and some are on grand scales wether it be religious, governmental or personal.

You would let your kid play COD and shoot other players, blow them up, ect, ect, but that same parent would not let the same child watch "Debbie does Dallas".

A Europian country has a 12 year old kid who comes home from school and sits down to watch tv and sees a topless woman advertising soap or shampoo, but the same child can not play certain video games because his country says they are to violent.

In the Middle East, muslim woman can not show any skin outside the burqa or they can be sevearly punished in violent ways, yet they have suicide bombers and radical groups who kill innocent people for thier beliefs, yet the woman still can not show any skin outside the house.

Even in the USA, you can sit down and watch tv and hear all kinds of foul language, from the derogatory term for female dog to the uncensored words for all the femal anatomies (front, back, top and bottom). They even have an episode of Southpark where they have a counter in the corner keeping track of how many times they say the uncensored word for excriment. Yet you never see nudity on tv and with all the other foul language, they still bleep the F bomb.

Again, it's called ACCEPTANCE LEVEL and everyone has one, just because someone's isn't set as high as your does not make it less relavant.

So violance is ok but nudity isn't is a very valid point and not an unreasonable request to censore something even if you may not agree with it.......I rest my case!!!
