EASYANTICHEAT issues!!
Been playing 7DTD for a few hundred hours prior to A16. I held off till A16 stable came out then installed. I have COMODO Antivirus and have had Comodo the entire time pre-A16. No issues. When I installed A16 it gave me a Launch Error: "Error Validating EasyAntiCheat code signing certificate." After reading through forums I found a post from 2016 stating to uninstall Comodo then install 7DTD. I did. Then I uninstalled 7DTD and ran full A16 install w/o Comodo. Right Click on game, clicked Show game launcher, click on Tools then clear game data. Fully loaded into new game. All good. Restart machine. Then I installed Comodo. Full update. Restart machine. Started 7DTD and disalog box popped up I never saw before: "EasyAntiCheat Service." Yes or no option. I click Yes. Different dialog box pops up: "Install Now." I click it then it states below: "Error: GrantAllUsersAccessToService Failed." I have used Comodo for a LONG time and don't have the funding to pay for an antivirus. Guys, I could REALLY use some help here!! How do I get around this EASYANTICHEAT???

you can play alone without eac but to play on servers you need it.

the fix would be to change that weird anti-virus for something more common like AVG for exemple (AVG is free with paying premium version)

Right now I'm only doing single player. The issue is still there. Will look into AVG but I have not had a problem with Comodo or 7DTD till A16.
GrantAllUsersAccessToService failed

The EAC setup was denied access to install the service. To fix this, try running the EAC setup as Administrator by right clicking the program icon and choosing "Run as Admin". If the problem persists, the error could be related to an anti-virus blocking the operation. In this case, check that the anti-virus is up-to-date and try adding the game directory into the anti-virus exceptions list

Hope this helps you, making an exception for the 7d2d steam folder in COMODO should help if nothing else does.
The 7d2d EAC is at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\EasyAntiCheat
Double click the EAC setup and uninstall before you try running it as admin (if you try this fix also).

Ok. Update: Not quite the fix I expected but I'll take it!!! So...with 7DTD A16 and Comodo installed right after reading your post +God Bless The Dead I right clicked on the game in Steam, clicked on show game launcher, in that dialog box I saw the box "Use EasyAntiCheat (EAC)" checked. So...for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles, I unchecked it and then clicked "Run and Save as Default." Viola!!! It worked. Fully loaded into game. To confirm once fully loaded in I quit to desktop then restarted machine twice and then double clicked Steam Icon, selected 7DTD then play game and all is good. Thank you for your time and knowledge. I do appreciate it. I also went to COMODO and selected 7DTD as trusted. +God Bless The Dead, Thank You!
