Gun schematics and parts locations?

I ran to a Shotgun Messiah's in town. I got some scrambled parts for guns (4/5 for hunting rifle, 2/5 for magnum, 3/5 for shotgun, 1/5 for rocket launcher etc). I assume i'll just have to revisit to get all the parts for one set which I'm fine with, but I didn't get a single schematic,

I've heard there are schematics at the bookstore but every time i go to the bookstore it's empty - literally every time, and no one else is on the server.

Any ideas on where I can get the gun schematics and also - how long is the respawn rate for loot containers? tyty xoxo

Schematics mainly spawn in bookshelves, but can be found randomly elsewhere.

You can change the amount of days required for loot to respawn in the options for creating your world( can still be changed after you make the world)

Finding specific schematics are completely random with it possible to get 20 leather arm schematics in a row without getting your desired one

Already read schematics level up a specific skill once other than that they can be sold.

Gun parts are best found in cities

They randomly drop off mainly cops

Its reccomended to level up scavenging and quality joe to find more and better parts

Does anyone know if you get them from treasure maps / airdrops?

air drops stand a chance of dropping complete weapons ( including assault and sniper rifles ) but... still subject to the laws of the almighty RNG. You might get nothing more than supplies and food.

airdrops and treaure can contain schematics, parts, and guns, but it is rng based
