How to get purified water?

I have glass jars and I have tried both Right clicking and Left clicking on the nearby river but it wont fill up with murky water like I've seen others do. Can I just not do that any more? I haven't seen anyone in the NEW version be able to fill up jars in any video I've watched. The only ones that can are the older versions of the game.

I have/am to no avail. I have even tried to get in the water to do it and still it wont fill up.

well just to be sure(cuz i had an impresion you had no jars in your hand) -> put the jars on your tool belt then select that slot -> then when your char has the jars in his hand aim at water and right click on it ->it might get tricky so try at various angles and from close distance -> it will work sooner or later ;) its jsut that water has weird collision box sometimes and thats why it might not register your clicks on it

It's a know (rare) bug. I think you may need to do a clean install to solve... :-|

Nope I have newest version and do it all the time. It's right click btw while standing very close. It's a very fast and loose animation that at first I thought it didn't work but my inventory showed the water so. If it is a bug verify your game or reinstall

Verify cache or re install. I was just collecting water in cans and jars last night.

I remember one time I spent a good couple of minutes trying. I figured out that I was using the wrong click; it felt perfectly right. Ensure you are using the correct click XD

I had the jar in my hand. I'm not dumb I have known about 7 Days to Die for a long while and watched tons of lets plays and even played it a bit when I first got it. It didn't work the first 2 times I tried but I finally got it to work on the 3rd time. Hopefully it wont be such trouble next time.

How many jars are in the hotbar? And with how much empty inventory? The empty jars stack to 25 whereas the full jars go to 15, which is weird.

Last I checked there is no stack limit for empty jars. The only stack limit I have found is purified water at 15. I held 28 jars in my hand. And my wood is at over 1000 pieces in one slot.

Empty jars stack upt to 500 atm and wood up to 5000 per stack -> at least thats whaat xml says

Hello judging by your inital post :

"I have glass jars and I have tried both Right clicking and Left clicking on the nearby river but" it was entirely possible that you were just standing by the river with jars in your inventory but were right clickin on the river with another tool in your hand -> and thats quite a common thing for newbies to do (aka misuse items) -> ive worked for 9 years in tech support so i read what ppl write very carefully and see patterns other ppl might miss --> So in this particular case you left doors wide open for other ppl (including me to possibly missunderstand your meaning (aka there was no precise info that you were actually trying to USE the jars ON the water- just that you were standing next to it and r-clicking (and thats not the same thing aka you could hae had smth else in your hand like a stone axe for eg). So keep in mind that i wasnt sugesting you being dumb cuz i have no need to do so nor any interest in it. i was just pointing out possible reason WHY it might not be working thats all. Cheers.

I used to think there was a bug in the later builds but found by trial and error that if you right click and hold the click momentarily, you'll get your water with no problem.
