i have never seen a game run so bad
either your minimum requirements are untrue or this is a buggy mess, i'm requesting a refund because this is ridiculously bad performance, this is a real shame cause i know this is a great game, if you fix the games performance i will come back to it, you can do better than this guys.

Rules me out, I have 128 hours in the last two weeks. sigh.

so, what is bad performance ? bad graphics or low fps ?

graphics ? - its a voxel game.
low fps ? - i heard: "turn off reflection" (and apply) is the best way to run the game smooth.

and the most important requirement is "gb ram" (16 would be nice / middle).

GPU requirements aren't terribly extreme compared to other somewhat graphically intense games. A humble gtx1060/rx580 can still maintain a pretty consistent 60fps at 1080p at maximum settings as long as the rest of your system can keep it fed. Even a ~$130 rx570 can breeze through if you are willing to either drop resolution around 900x1600 or lower a couple of the more GPU-dependent settings at 1080p.
It doesn't seem to play well with really old GPU's on the newer Unity engine unless you force it to dx10 in the launcher, but most GPU's that old will struggle at medium settings at 720p anyway, and many will be a bit short on VRAM since 3gb+ is preferred.
A lot of the game can also run pretty well on older platforms and weak or old CPU's, but the large cities and situations with a large number of zombies will struggle if you're trying to play on an old Phenom/FX or i3. Even these can still play with most settings cranked up pretty high, but hairy situations can give you FPS down into the 20-30's and some bad stutters at times.
An SSD can also help the game run a little smoother while also giving practically any computer a noticeable speed boost all around, and their $30-60 prices make them a lot more attainable than they were in the past.

As long as your GPU has 3gb VRAM or more, a computer with 8gb RAM is plenty as far as memory is concerned. I do however agree that most/anyone building a new gaming PC should aim for 16gb dual-channel if at all possible to give their build a bit of future headroom.

It IS weird to see the Windows32 version/setting though, since the lowest settings will still need the computer to have a little over 4gb RAM between the game and OS and Steam.

I didn't know about such details and bought quad-channel ram, even though my mainboard only supports dual channel. Since you seem knowledgeable about it, do you happen to know if that could be causing issues/disadvantages for the system or is it just that I won't be able to fully utilize the bought ram?

Most consumer CPU's/MB's only support dual-channel, but quad-channel RAM will still work just as well. The only common situation where four sticks of RAM may run a little worse than two is when those four aren't all the same size as eachother.
When you buy quad channel RAM kits they're already matched for size and compatibility, so the main way folks run into trouble is when instead of buying a quad-channel kit they mix and match different RAM sticks which can sometimes have compatibility issues or will often be forced to run as slower single-channel if the sizes aren't the same.

If you bought a quad-channel kit instead of mixing/matching random sticks of RAM, you're almost surely fine. It'll just run as two pairs in dual-channel.

Thank you for the reply and your time. It was a kit, so I should be fine then.

This game runs just fine on my computer, maybe you need to upgrade.

I have found that this game runs the GPU rather hot which I hope gets addressed in some future update.

I only started the game to get the options set, and played for about three or so minutes before I start streaming, and I did find the GPU at a constant 100 percent which should not be happening.

Other than that (for the time being) I'll be reporting anything I come across.

It is normal for games to run the GPU at 100% and most will do it unless something else is holding them back like an FPS limit which is lower than the system can reach without the limit in place, or a system where the CPU is too weak to keep the GPU fed.

Some games will have an FPS cap either around 60 or 200 which will limit your GPU usage if the PC can hit over 60/200 FPS in that game.
Some setting adjustments can also make games hit your CPU a lot harder than your GPU which can sometimes make your GPU usage go lower because your CPU is slowing things down.
Outside of those two situations most games will run the GPU at 100%.

Many of the higher-end AMD GPU's tend to run pretty hot, and some versions like certain 3fan models of Vega56 have hot VRMs on the back of the board where fans don't reach them well, so they run quite toasty regardless of the beefy cooler.
Most GPU's are supposed to be good up to 90-95degrees where they'll start to throttle, but I totally understand wanting to run a bit cooler to keep things lasting as long and healthy as possible. I get paranoid when my 1060 hits 70+degrees when games have it at 100% because my computer is in a somewhat cramped spot.

refund now. It has been bad for years and only gotten worse with time.

No one forces you to keep the game. it has it's bugs but so do most games. this one is constantly changing.

Honestly they should update the minimum requirements on the store page. Judging from the private bytes allocated by this game in resource monitor I would say 16GB memory would be a minimum to run okay. Most desktops have that much, but they should just say it.

Um, it's consistently one of the top most played games on steam, and has been for a few years. I'm pretty darn sure it runs just fine on average HW. :)

I noticed. Not every RX 580 performs like the other. My "Sapphire Radeon RX 580 Nitro+ OC 8GB" (dang, that's a long title) gets really noisy and hot. Comes with the fact that it's overclocked by default. But at least she gets the job done. No lags whatsoever. Even though the GPU scared the hell out of me the first time it ran on 100%. I thought it would simply break, so I panicked and shut the game and pc asap xD
