Blade traps are useless?
They seem to take too much damage per zombie and with only 2000 health i dont feel like they are that usefull in blood moon nights since the amount of zombies would probably destroy it in the first 5 minutes.

Yes, they are a bit weak. If you put em in a spot where you can reach to repair every now and again, they're beast

As Andi said, It's all about how you place them- What's also important is whether or not Zombies are able to strike the trap itself as this can further deplete the HP pool of the bladetrap and make it last even less time.

Plan your build out, Make maintenance tunnels/paths so you can keep your traps in repair while fighting the horde.

not sure how you've got them situated; but in the past I've set up my blade trap meat grinders upside down at head level. This way there's nothing immediately in front of the zeds for them to hit, but they have to pass through it to get to you. Worked to devastating effect and minimized the damage they took from physical blows.

but they still get damaged by inflicting damage and with only 2500 health they are broken pretty fast if hundreds of zombies run in there.
more health or upgrade stages would be pretty good for them

Okay I just went through the day 35 Blood Moon Hoarde I have 5 blade traps 4 in a square on the ground and one in the middle posted up one block up, then surrounding those I have electric fences and I only had to repair one of my blade traps after the blood moon.

blade traps receive damage every time they do damage.. if you only had to repair one then your other traps weren't doing squat

I wouldn't be opposed to Advanced Engineering increasing the durability of placed electrical traps, though I'm unsure if they could possibly add that without having to slap the Quality system on them.

Personally I increased the durability of the blade traps by 50% via the XML but to keep the cost balanced I also doubled the ingredient and repair amount

Oh, well if one can simply edit a file to increase trap durability then surely it's possible to boost it through a skill without a Quality rating. What you did is a fair compromise as well.
