They did give lore awhile ago on them.

I assumed a17 was supposed to introduce human foes but I guess it was put on hold.

The native man is the Duke. You use his tokens at traders.

The old guy is the leader of white river and gives you the quest when you first start.

From my understanding the goal is to have you pick a faction and fight the other one.

They have some really cool ideas with it. Hopefully we will see it pop into reality within a year.

I believe this was mentioned in a dev video a while back. But he also showed some awesome concept art for 2 people from white river to.

Okay, believe it or not one of these portraits was my biggest freeze and wtf moment in the game.

Early on before I realized there were portraits everywhere, i was doing a trader quest to retrieve loot. So I am breaking through a wall and see....this.

I completely froze and stared at it thinking, did someone hack into my game? Is this guy about to kill me or what?
