Invincible or beyond your current capabilities? The Soldier's HP in the xmls isnt any stronger. Whereas our damage capabilities without buying perks has been reduced.

<effect_group name="Base Effects">
<passive_effect name="HealthMax" operation="base_set" value="150"/>
<passive_effect name="HealthMax" operation="perc_set" value="1"/> <!-- Zombie HP scale -->
<passive_effect name="PhysicalDamageResist" operation="base_set" value="50"/>
</effect_group>

150 HP, 50% damage resist on each hit.

Never noticed them invincible and never heard the 'ding' protected block sound on fighting one... I just kill them as normal with club power hits to the head... 1300xp or so for one <3

People, like me, who expect A17 to be just like A16 are going to be sorely mistaken. A17 is not as easy as A16. Things have changed. Adapt. Took me until Level 14 to have enough perk points spent to play like I used to in A16. We have to buy perks now to compensate for how much we have been de-powered. Stick with it, read the perk bonuses. It will become easier.

That's not the one OP is talking about then.
Also the "invincible" give you WAAAAAY more experience... I got like two levels after killing one.

No, they are invincible. I used the admin gun to test and after shooting them with the 'insta kill' gun for 10 minutes, they still wouldn't die. It's a bugged zombie. Not one that's just really hard.

You should probably read the thread linked earlier before you start crying bug. It's not a bug. You just need to think outside the box. ;)

Well then your " insta kill gun " is bugged cuz we kil them all the time at post 70ish levels.

well ive killed them (and i mean the "Ding" variant") on many occasions - they do take damage - but it will take several more arrows do whack one - or just kite it first onto some spikes to weaken it and then whack them easier. - imho they only can be a problem when you are cornered and dont have a decent gun

As usuall its advisable to go for headshots anyway - esp if you get some points into heashot damage multiplier skill.

You have to hit them where the armor doesnt protect them. You know...like a game that actually did an enemy correct.
Bug? LOL

having run into a feral military Z early they feel invicible. The 199 build 300 rounds of 7.62 did nothing on body shots. Had to fish for the % based chance to explode heads.
Guessing they had 80+ armor rating and some amount of health regen.

208 build they die just fine can work them down with stone arrows.
