Oh my god have they managed to make this game boring
I'm going to stop playing this game now after clocking over 90+ hours and what felt like, 5 straight days non-stop trying to engage with this game. But jesus, these developers have managed to take zombies and survival by making them into this incredibly boring game.

Why do I swim so slow? My base is like one of those buildings in the middle of the lake and imagine if you will, having to always go back and forth needing to raid, hit up the trader then heading back to this base multiple times. Knowing you're going to have to swim god awful slow doing it everytime. Even with the shift key held down.

Pecking at resources to pick up iron, stone, wood .etc gets tedious. Yes even with the steel pickaxe, but once that stamina goes down, well, you're in for a long night. Just stand, wait, drink off everything you have from coffee to goldenrod tea, chip away again and repeat.

Hell they couldn't even make riding the minibike exciting! I cheated for that vehicle to be made because I would've found it more entertaining killing my weak as hell character that runs out of breath in seconds, gets whiny about food/drink in minutes than be slowed to a crawl when depleted from both.

Just going around "bzzzzzzzzzbzzzzzzzzz" from building to building. I'm a little faster now but for some reason I feel like the pace is equaled to the tedious trips I've had to make between my base and everywhere's else. It's only cut down by like a third of the speed! Cool!

Reading from all the problems people are having with the latest Alpha (I'm on 16.4, I don't feel the urge to jump to A17 and deal with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t everyone else is) I'm better off. I'm better off anyways because I really don't want to tolerate another minute of this unpolished, unfinished, eternally in development slugging and crapshow of an alpha/EA game.

Edit: Thank you, Valve. I'm able to block users and not see their pot stirring posts. Yeah yeah, you guys trying way too hard to sound like a character of the internet. But really, grow up. I know criticism for your favorite game is hard to take in, but really, be mature.

Gathering resources, fighting zombies, making bases to defend from said zombies while using materials to make things like a workshop, forge .etc to make better items and sometimes visiting the trader to sell or buy better equipment with is "playing it wrong".

Pffft lol.

Terraria is far difficult than you want to make it sound. You're giving 7 Days to Die way too much credit than it's worth. I've played 700 hours on Terraria to tell you that it's not as much as a cake walk as you make it sound to this game. Sorry that it's a brighter, colorful, more in-depth and more complete than 7 Days will ever be with it's 5 going on 6 year and however long journey in hopes to even reach Beta.

you are playing a 16 and find it boring... others have said that after awhile it gets boring..
so you decide to not try a 17./..
another example of de evolution.

I remember many posts from the past about the game is too easy (A16 and before), and to both statements, its too easy or too hard, i can only say one thing: Go change the ingame settings OR edit the xml files (i suggest this is only done when a alpha build have gone stable) to your liking.

He's right. If you're gonna live in the middle of a lake, and complain about swim speed? lmao. No need to read past that.

I've actually toyed a lot with the game settings to make it interesting. From my experiences, say, letting the air drop happen every 1 day, makes me want to go out and fetch them. The challenge being the distance that crate is from my base and the amount of trouble it'll take me to get to them. I've set it back to default when it got ridiculous the amount of stuff I got from them to the point where even the Trader didn't want flashlights anymore.

The game just got too easy for me when I can defeat zombies with one swing of my sledgehammer. They stopped being a threat to me and when they stopped being a threat to me, then things got boring. I felt the only time I'll ever have interest in this game again is if I fight probably a dozen zombie bears. I've only ever encountered one in the entirety of my playthrough with this game. There should be a spawner setting in the game to fight as many zombie bears as you want or other hard enemies.

whats so stupid about my observation?
He stated he was bored with the Alpha 16 and said the developers dont know what they are doing. and then proceeds to say he wont try A 17- a version that is different than a 16 in many ways.

The developers themselves have acknowledged that the water and how swimming was nerfed was indeed a problem. Don't think this is the only forum I'm with regarding this game, I'm also over on the official forums too where the developers are more attentive at.

Then after awhile 16 gets boring and 17 introduces what? 10 new features or so and some minor adjustments. How's that in anyway not making the game any less boring? In fact, from what I'm reading with the complains on A17, the developers managed to make it even MORE boring than possible. It's now an official grindfest to see who can kill the most zombies in hopes they see a level. More killing zombies, barely survival.

Then why are you bothering us here? Surely you knew your complaints are not justifiable, so this is just a rant thread.

Head to the crumbled city biome when you're at lvl 100+; you'll see zombie bears. And packs of dogs. You may even see some at a low level. I tried to shortcut through the wastes one playthrough early in gameplay to get to a desert biome for easy, early survival. Had to flee in terror from an unlucky zombie bear spawn. Wasn't amused, given my rank noob character status. Hadn't even gone through the starting quests.

There are perks to swim faster in alpha 17
