Is there Dirt in the desert biome anywhere? Just finding clay and sand...

There is no more "dirt", if you need to make soil to plant crops and stiff on you craft it with the clay.

If you find the darker patches of ground they'll give you more clay then the normal desert ground.

Sorry should have clarified I'm on A16. I can't do anything farming related with Clay. Watching Vedui's a16 Farming vid. Worst case it looks like I can plant in Clay behind the Gold Mine and Till the plant with a hoe before harvesting it...

if you're in A16 still, then no there is no dirt or soil in the desert biome. You'll have to travel outside of it to score some.
