You'd think getting hands on something only available so ridiculously late in the game that early would be cool, but no. Pure tradder fodder. And even if I was going to use it, it's so impossibly jarring to have no zombies drop anything and then all of a sudden drop something like that.
Less frequent loot is okay, a good chunk of it was mostly just junk. It should still happen every so often though and just ensure some decent gear, rather than be this 1% drop which guarantees a small arsenal of weapons every time. Like, really? Is that the only thing that could be "valuable" for a zombie to drop?
Its all about how lucky or not you are, so just keep searching (erm...killing).
It is probable that in your games 'loot chance' it might be effected but I have my loot chance at default or 100%
I'm ultimately saying it needs to be an increased chance. It doesn't even have to be 1 in 20 but again --- as i said better than 1 in 300. I really have no idea what they have it as but again as I said, have not yet seen ONE loot drop. Not one.
I thought the point I made of uniques zombies dropping unique items was a good point. Very surprised none of you or no one agreed. THIS WAS the TFP or Madmoles idea and it was a good one. I strongly feel this choice is not only a poor one but counterproductive to a fun and exciting adventure they are trying to create for the gamer.
As I said, originally that was the point in having unique zombies, otherwise its just asthetics and pointless to have a nurse, football player, farmer, soldier etc.
I tell you one thing I like or love among many many things in a17, the ability to recover arrows. It is an excellent addtion.
Sometimes you need to favour gameplay mechanics over realism. I personally like it this way. Loot from zombies is a lot more rare, but every time I do get some there's always at least 1 thing I want to take with me. Before, like 75% of the drops would be useless for me. Also, looting every single zombie got pretty tiresome fairly fast for me. Especially during horde night or when clearing out buildings with lots of spawns.
You get EXP in return. Loot drops are just icing on the cake. And they are good. Gone are the days of checking every zombie for garbage drops.
Im superhappy they reduced it to near nothing, with the occasional gem of a gun or just a bottle of water.
It is more in the area of 1:30 -1:50 kinda hard to tell excactly cus bags are easy to miss when you fight a pile over a relatively large area, or if the bags despawn during BMs.
But you can keep a somewhat accurate measure if you keep track on both bags and killls
Nope, it's 6 in 300 (2%), the files have already been analyzed.
Personally I'm not a fan. 15% chance for an uncommon item would work just fine, but with current chances, zombies are just pure exp grind.
2% seems like a good drop chance for generally rare goods. Though zombies should get back their "personal" loot (skaters drop mechanical parts and hoodies, businessmen drop money and suits, etc) at a rate of probably around 10-15%. Maybe make it tied to when they spawn and give them a backpack.
I do like that you don't run around searching an entire horde just to get some paper and a can of peas, but the current system definitely gave the zombies less character and less purpose. Only reason you even pay attention to them anymore is because you really desperately need XP to get anywhere especially as a solo player.
