I can't open anything.

So me and a group of guys have been playing on a server and earlier today I was playing fine. Now I try and go in and get some bandages and it doesn't work I can't open a chest. Ok maybe its locked go to my chest I put down. I can't open taht or loot or furnaces or anything.

I can still open doors unlock things punch in pin codes and even kill stuff no chat delay or anything.

Host has to shut down the game completely and reload it from steam. This happens to my friends if i restart the servers pr console command when someone is looking in something

I also just did a full wipe and reinstall. Deleted all Program Files and Appdata. Might be something from some old mods I had way back 9 or 10 months ago still in the game even after downloading the alpha 17 patch.

I have just experienced this problem. Connected as client on Linux to a dedicated server on Windows. Rejoining doesn't work. Restarting client fully doesn't work. Restarting the server -does- work.

Hi what helped in our case is that the host quit the game and thus basically restarted the server. 2 players out of 5 had this issue, and restarting the server this way resolved it. So same what ßri¢k™ said.

Did you update/remove mods? There are two locations for mods. One in your installation folder and the other in the appdata 7DTD folder.

Happened to me as well. I don't have any mods whatsoever, never have, and the NavG map played just fine earlier today, no issues. I quit after about an hour and decided to check out the map generator. Created a map, loaded in, played for about another hour, no issues. Decided to try another map, see what the generator could come up with. Loaded in and instantly got hit with error logs. Can't open any type of loot container, but can open doors, combat, movement, inventory, etc. normally. I uninstalled, wiped all the files, restarted the computer, reinstalled, verified files, loaded into the NavG map again... Still occurring.
Anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Not playing multiplayer, haven't changed the base rules, great internet connection (Loaded up three other games, two of which were multiplayer based, and they ran perfectly).
I really enjoy 7 Days, have since it came out on console years ago, and even more so now on pc, but I can't play it like this. I've spent the last two hours combing through the last 6 or 7 years of error logs and can't seem to figure out a solution.
