Can we return the old font style?

Idk who decided this new font but it looks disgusting. It's like a discount comic sans and looks way too bold especially on the ammo stacks. Give us an option to swap the font please, thanks.

I was just about to post the same thing. I think the new fonts look cheap and unpolished.

TFP was like we don´t want a cluttered HUD and removed hunger and thirst bars a few alphas ago. And now they clutter the HUD with this abomination of a font.

As far as i know the old font didn't have the chinese and russian letters /words. So yeah. People were begging for more translations, so there you have it! ;D

The Old Font didnt allow for a multitude of different symbols so dont expect it back for the first time my name in game is now proper instead of just an F in the middle of the screen lol... It was needed for all the new languages

You can change the font to whatever font you want by creating a mod or editing game files.
Would be a lot of work btw..

[EDIT] well maybe it's not even so much work if you create a modlet with xpath.

I did notice it was different, but personally it's not bad at all. The larger font actually makes some things easier to read.

I've actually got used to it now. Like most things I guess you get comfortable with what was before.

I read so many posts from people who want us to think of the whole community. We did in this case. Going back to the old font would make it so that our whole community couldn't enjoy the game in their native tongue. Just as many of you called on TFP to bring back the FOV slider so that people who got sick at a 65 degree view could also enjoy the game, we are asking YOU to adapt to a new font that supports all the new languages for more people in our community than ever before to be able to fully enjoy the game.

i agree it is a little large and that was a bit shocking
after a few minutes i got used to it and didn't really notice

had no troubles reading it though
if anything it is easier because of the larger text

This seems like a fairly rude response to this post.

While many of the posts are asking for the old fonts back, I think the community would be just as happy with a font-quality on par with what was lost, that's a pretty reasonable statement. I said the new fonts look cheap and unpolished, I'm not asking that anyone be excluded from playing the game, just like many others, we're simply expressing our choice that the new fonts are simply not as polished-looking as the old ones.
