The size of TFP development team as stated by Roland
This is Rolands comment from a different thread that i feel bears repeating just for all of our general knowledge and to reply to threads that ask about the speed of development.

There are 22 people who are working on the development aspect of 7 Days to Die. Some of them are part time or have very limited specialized jobs that the studio has them do when there is a need. 8 of those 22 are the lead programmers and definitely full time and who have been tasked with the various features that are being worked on. Each lead programmer has their own part of the game they are working on. For example, faatal is the lead programmer over AI, pathing, and vehicles. Prime is the lead programmer over electricity and quests. 3 of those 22 are the lead designers who make sure everything is working together and following the vision and goals of their blueprint. They would also be full time. The rest are art, world builders, level designers, and animators some of whom may be full time and some of whom may be part time (I don't know everyone over there and what their business relationship is with the studio)

Finally there are 8 internal testers. There would have been 9 but the developers know that old adage about having a baby as well...

There is no centralized building where The Fun Pimps Studio resides. The programmers and artists and animators and sound people and testers all live in various places all over the world but they all communicate with each other every day. I am fortunate enough to have access to their channel where they communicate and I can tell you they are hard working and passionate about this game. They all love what they do and have great rapport with each other and whenever someone is blocked from progressing one what they are trying to do because of a bug resulting from something someone else has done they work fast to clear those things up even if it is a Sunday night. They are all great guys. "

My goal is simply for us all to have access to this official info to help answer any questions that constantly arise on the forums about the teams size or speed.

Good info. Thanks for posting.

I wonder if Madmole is one of those 8 "lead programmers" or if he is considered the Director of TFP and is separate.
I know he's working heavily on the artwork, just not specifically sure where he falls into the programming hierarchy.

Madmole’s department in the organization is officially Art. However, he is also one of the owners so he also has final say on what goes in or what is taken out. Of course, he rarely plays that card unless he feels particularly passionate about something. Most decisions are reached by consensus by the team after some healthy debate. That’s why some of what he has said he would like to see go into the game in earlier videos didn’t pan out because after discussion he relented and went with the team’s overall sentiment.

Oh, he’s also everyone’s unofficial health advisor. He’s always posting tips on healthy living....lol

Between this and the Dayz mod for Arma 2 I am ready for the end and the dead to walk. I have a morbid plan for the first 48hrs but.....Kinda reads like a PVP version of this. LMAO. Take out the neighbors to steal their food, water, ammo and weapons. Then head to the father inlaw out in the boonies. LMAO. Build a spike wall around the property and every few days test my sniper skills. LMAO

Since the invention of smartphones, Zombie Apocolypse has already arrived. Look out your window and you see scores of mindless people (zombies) walking around staring at their phones.
This needed to be said by Roland, and pointed out by you to those on Steam and not the Official Forums.

I hope people realize that TFP is actually taking this game seriously, ISNT doing a cash grab and go with little updates, and is ramping up their team's size to complete the game in a proper way
