Yes i suppose it could be i have played way over 400 hours and have yet to find forged iron in any container. Musnt be looking hard enough.. ;) Thank you though x
type "forge" in the crafting menu - and click on the forge to know what u wiil need to
craft a forge (leather: kill animals or destroy leather couches)
and u will need an anvil. u can craft that anvil in that forge (for higher crafting stuff - like
forged iron.)
u have to put the anvil in the higher right side - when u are in the forge menu (by clicking on
the forge).
oh and wrenching broken/working workstations gives it too.
All this helps out alot when the forge option at the trading post is no good due to it being in a destroyed state, it's easier for me to buy 20 forged iron bars for that early pickaxe, fireaxe, or shovel I need to start increasing my mining tool skill level, especially, when I'm having a hard time trying to find all the ingredients needed to create a forge at the earliest moment possible, that first iron pick really helps you get out the starting gate, the sooner, the better.
