Do you mean the icon you press to autosort? It's at the top left of the inventory?

i thought you could stand in front of 6 chests, and press a button, and it would recognize which of your inventory items to store into which chest....

i guess only terraria had this advanced feature

Honestly, i would have nothing against it as ive never enjoyed the inventory management part in games


Some ways to get around it

Use dump chests where you throw everything without any sorting, and sort only when they are full...save a lot of time and clickings

Use mods for bigger backpack / storages...with bigger backpack, you are less often forced into the sorting (and utterly boring....to me) part of the game

I like how you can dump all items at once from a chest to your back pack. It would be nice to be able to do it vice versa. Also, to and from the mini bike storage too. It would help save some few precious seconds when you're looting on the fly while dealing with a large crowd. On the other hand, it does pose more of a challenge. Those times I try to quickly sneek a loot transfer clicking each item as fast as I can during a short lull in the fighting and then see my own blood splats around my inventory screen and going into a panic to get my weapon back in hand before I get killed. Does get exciting that way. But for in base loot managing it would be nice to move large amounts of items in one click besides just from chest to back pack. I do like the sort button even though it doesn't always put in the order I would like, but I got used to it and it's pretty handy.

Yes and that game is a whole other genre. What you are asking for would bring about duping issues among other things.

As others say if we automate the whole game then you would not have to play would you? LOL

I solved this issue by getting married. I dump all the junk into a drop chest and my wife sorts it out into the various chests. Try it. It has some other benefits, too.

Pretty much sums up coop with my wife here as well. I'm merely curious as to what other benefits a marriage could possibly have, I thought this was all there was to it..

I have been in this contract for 3 years (marriage). I am always reminding I have another 45yrs to go before renegotiatiom will happen......Seems more like a prison term with 45 yrs before eligable for Parole. LMAO.

For the record I do not let my wife play PC games. Just no that is my time. LOL.
