Building a lake

I'm trying to build a lake - Does anyone know the properties of the water ? Does it work on a 9x9 scale or something ?

Seems to be really annoying to build a lake.

Any info on this would be much appreciated.

Water physics are currently borked. Well... its always been wonky. 10/10 I would avoid doing anything with water unless its only 1 deep, else you're gonna have a really BAD day.

while water is strange to work with if patient it is possible. you can use wood frames to build up and have a surface to place water against if you intend on making a lake more then 1 deep. then when you remove the frames the water may or may not "drop" if that happens place frames 1 at a time and see how the water around it reacts. key for this is patience!!
