Can you till sod ?

While building I dug up a ton of soil.
I decided to use it to make a farm, I crafted sod to place on the ground then the seeds to start the farm..

But Im getting no reaction when trying to till it.
I can till regular ground next to it but not the sod..

So Im guessing it cant bne tilled ?

Are you right clicking it with a garden hoe ?

Sod has to dry after you place it. Once you can’t pick it back up you can till it.

I was right clicking yeah..

I'll leave it for a day to dry ?

I can always just make forest ground I suppose.
Ive played this game alot but never used sod before..
I just guessed it would till like the other forest ground I used to craft..
