Gamer food recipes
Hi everyone, just curious what type of foods people like to eat while gaming. Feel free to leave your recipes and or suggestions below. Enjoy :)

Pizza snacks: Take soft flour tortilla shells and use a round cookie cutter to get as many out of a shell as you can. It`s ok to go outside the lines a bit as for a standard muffin tray they are big enough. Press them down into the tray and use spagetti sauce, pizza sauce. Almost anything you like. Dont put too much in the bottom, about 1/2 - 3/4 tsp. thin slice any kind of meat snack sausage or finely chopped veggies of your choice. Typically i put 3 slices of meat and a pinch of veggies. Top with a pinch of grated cheese. Bake at 350 F for 8 min. Take out and remove from tray with a spoon onto a plate and allow to cool for a few min before enjoying.
Hint: dont go super heavy on the toppings as they wont heat properly. the beauty of this snack is that you can turn a relatively small amount of ingredients into a delicious snack. They are small enough to pop one in your mouth, and if you dont go crazy with the toppings they aren`t messy either. Adjust your cooking times to how crisp you like the crust. Enjoy. Any variations I would be glad to hear.

Bacon & Eggs 4 Life.

Oh wait, in RL while playing this game?

Anything within reach of my desk that has an expiration date.

Come on, who goes grocery shopping and then prepares a meal ( your snack) in preperations to play this game lol.

I do have a pizza variation though. I use a can of biscuits + pizza ingredients.

- flatten out biscuits with your hands or a large spoon on clean dry surface.
- get a large baking sheet of some kind and spray 'er down with cooking spray.
- of course put your flat biscuits on, thin layer of quailty pasta sauce( smallest jar as possible)
- nice layer of mozzarella ( thick grated cuz it melts better than fine cut)
- of course any veggies you want plus bagged pepperoni slices. Just dont pile it on.
- bake at 450 for at least 15min or until crust edge and cheese start to brown.

Of course Id rather eat a bag of cheesy pretzel sandwiches while I play a game. Why waste time making food?

I just grab my $1 bag of pretzel sticks and a 1.25 L of mountain dew and I'm set.

Ew I had to stop drinking those in HS. It burned a sore in my esophagus which made me gag any time I tried to eat something. Maybe try switiching to some lemony tea. At least it is far less acidic and boosts your immune system.

Loaded Ramen.
Like regular instant ramen, but with a sliced hard-boiled egg and some chopped chicken. Both add-ins can be made in advance in bulk and kept in the fridge to toss in whenever. I usually toss in a little soy sauce and parsley as well.

Dad Style Grilled Cheese (family recipe)
Standard grilled cheese, but spread some Miracle Whip (NOT mayo, ew) inside with a slice of american cheese. You know how grilled cheese works, it's name is the recipe.

Tuna Special:
Mix a can of tuna with some Miracle Whip. Spread on bread with a slice of american cheese on top and load her in the toaster oven until the cheese starts to brown.

Grilled Pizza
Get the idea? Spoon a little pasta sauce, mozzerella cheese, some parmesan, and some basil/oregano between two slices of bread.

The Salad
I'm not big on salad, but a typical bagged salad mix with some mushrooms, croutons, shredded parmesan cheese, sunflower seeds can break the monotony. Throw in some Thousand Island dressing to remind yourself how much you hate diets.

Ew! miracle whip is sweet. Why make all of your food sweet? If I may suggest some variations...

For your ramen don't use standard cheap ramen noodles. The preservatives are a patroleum (some say). Also they are flash fried before packing so they are loaded with saturated fat. I use Organic or all natural noodles in the ethnic section of the store I shop at. Those have nothing but rice and water or wheat and whatever depending on the noodles.

My ramen(or just asian noodle) soup recipe
- Box (not plastic wrapper)of all natural thin rice noodles
- box of chicken broth
- box of bone broth(chicken or turkey)
- 2 raw eggs
- salt/pepper

In a pot pour in your chicken broth and bone broth half and half to the amount of soup you want. Stir a bit and when it begins to boil add your noodles for the time it says on the box ( like 5min). When those are soft you can add the raw eggs. Some people like to be fancy and whisk them before pouring them in slowly to get a nice silky look. I just crack them one at a time and stir them well. If the broth is salted the I dont add salt.
Bone broth is very healthy for you but tastes horrible. This way I drink it every day and enjoy it.

For your grilled cheese you can use bakery made ( or bakery department of a grocery store made) artisan breads such as sourdough which will have little to know perservitives. Also use thick grated sharp cheddar. I put butter on one side of both bread slices. the butter goes on the outside. Pile in your cheese. As soon as it hits the hot pan( sprayed with cooking spray of course), carefully but quickly put a thin layer of cheese on top of the sandwich. wait a minute and flip it. Add cheese to the other side, wait a minute and flip. You now have what they call an inside out grilled cheese.

Not trying to one up you or anything. I just see the effects that cheap, poor quality food has on people and I stay far away from it. You can eat cheap and healthy. =]

edit: looking at my posts i do sound like a jerk. I'm not, I just like cooking lol.

I eat Rugbrød[en.wikipedia.org] with ham and cucumber as topping.
It's the easiest and healthiest meal I can think of

Sounds delicious but I'm compelled to not spend more time cooking than I do eating. If you'd cook that for me, I'll smile ear to ear.

I don't eat while I game. I may have a beverage, but I dislike getting food stuffs on my KB&M or controller. What I eat when I pause to do so though is anything and everything, as I don't have any allergies to any foods. Though if I am in a hurry to get back to gaming (basically only happens when playing MP games) I might opt for something quick and easy over something that takes more time to prepare.

Geez, I've been playing ARK for too long I haven't posted here in a while.

My general gamer food is any snack I can find that can be eaten one-handed, allowing me to at least use WASD or other shortcuts.

So, this is a small list of snacks I'll enjoy while gaming;

-Doritos
-Tostitos
-Donuts
-Gummy Bears
-Veggie Crackers
-Candies (rockets, smarties... etc)

If I need a more, filling food, I usually cook the following:

Pat's Creamy Chicken Ramen

A bag of Ramen noodles
A can of Creamy Chicken Soup
A can of Ham (for an extra tasty flavour!)
A small pinch of pepper

Cook this on the stove in roughly 10-20 minutes really... and it's back to taming more Dinos or killing Zombies for me. ;)

Are you trolling? those are two different kinds of cheese. Gruyere is a lot like guda in taste but it's real cheese. Swiss cheese is very mild/plain.

I couldn't not say something when I read 'can' of ham. Convince the devs to include Ramen noodles in the game, throw in a campfire recipe and you're ready for the apocalypse.

Kraft dinner and a can of flaked tuna. Try it. Really. Some pepper and butter also.

I cant stand Kraft dinner normally. Hamburger works to. But try the tuna and its healthy.

Bananas and peanut butter sandwich. Just cut the banana in half and then in half length wise and put two pieces in each sandwich, and peanut butter.

Its like candy.

Put bananas in window for a few days because store bought are almost never ripe and taste bad. They need natural light to taste good.

Peanut butter has alot of fat and protein and the bananas dont so its a really good combo. Tastes amazing.

I had a friend who loved ketchup in Kraft dinner, sounds so gross.

If that doesn't make you gag, Kraft has a recipe for a ketchup flavored cake. Baaaaarrrrfffffff.

BRB loosing my lunch...

Another thing I love that is sooo gooood, roasted red peppers. BBQ is really nice but you can even just cut the top off and put them upside down on a tray in the stove. They caramelize and literally taste like candy. They should be so soft that the skin can just slide off.

Figs stuffed with almonds is good too.

Ketchup in kraft dinner is because he didnt know about tuna. Open the can use lid to squeeze most of the water out and dump it in, its nearly as quick and easy as ketchup to.
