Performance suddenly terrible in all Unity games?
Upgraded from an old 2500K with 8GB of RAM to a 8700K with 32GB of RAM. My GPU remains the same, a 1080 Ti. W10 64-bit. Latest NVIDIA drivers.

On my old system I was capable of hitting my frame rate of 120HZ with mxied settings, now I seem stuck around 40-450FPS, the same settings. The Forest saw a dip in performance as well, though not as huge. Seems to be related to Unity engine games.

For some reason IMO it seems with all unity games older mid grade rigs work better with games versus newer systems. Just my observation from forum seeking plus all unreal games have the exact opposite effect, where I myself get 90+ fps in ue4 games and 40-60 fps in unity games.

@OP: it's not Unity, it's Microsoft's Win10 Creators Fall update which introduced its own game optimization tool which messes up other active optimization programs plus slows down games instead of making them run better lol

Theres a few things you can do to help, turn off game bar recordings, game dvr stuff. These are turned on by default when some updates occur. Also there are other services that can be turned off that will increase system performance by 20-30%. I would suggest something like Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4.3.
