Yeah, I use it myself. It's very convenient when on all day or multiday expeditions away from the base. I think you do get less hydration from a jar of filtered water. But that hardly matters when murky water stacks to 500 and you find so much around.

Drinking the unfiltered water does indeed give less hydration per bottle, which means you're drinking way more bottles per needed water refill (I think unfiltered it gives like, 10 or 15 water vs 25+ with some drinks)

You also dont get any benefits like dysentery protection or heat/cold resist that you can get from other drinks. Overall though its a good mod.

I tried the Water Purifier out, and was not impressed with it. I found I was thirsty all the time.Requiring constant drinking of water. I realize you can carry a large amount of jars in one stack. But not worth the constant thirst. I value the mod slots in helm for other things. I also find a single stack of red tea or yuka is more then enough for a week out away from base. Clean water is everywhere in almost every poi. I drink what I find while looting. By the end of a week of looting I still have more then 10 in original stack. I don't use Water Purifier mod any more. Thirst is never a problem. Personal preferance. Cheers all

I feel it is more or less obsolete after you find a cooking pot. I don't mind taking time to boil a little water and mixing a few other kinds of drinks. It comes in handy if you find it at the start before you find cooking pot but that rarely happens for me. I always keep it around after I find one but I don't seem to use it.

When I'm out looting for extended periods I find so much bottled water I'm throwing the stuff away to save on inventory slots for something else. There are more useful mods I can put in a helmet slot than the purifier. Just depends on your play style.

Good find if it suits how you roll!

Have had one since early game, haven't used it once. Just habit to boil water I guess.

My friend and I literally have a chest dedicated to Bottled Water because we end up with 60+ Glass Jars wherever we go from looting and we have stacks upon stacks of snowballs. Water has never been an issue for us and literally never will.

Glass jars are overly abundant.

That's why I replenish the one stack I'm carrying and drop the rest to free up inventory space.

For recipes at base that require water I use snowballs or a well as the water source.
