Xp for mining skills / perks

Do the skills Mining Tools and Miner 69er increase the amount of xp you acquire when mining, or it s a flat rate regardless of skills/perks?

I believe it's based off block, so a piece of stone is worth x amount of xp always. Tools speed up how fast you damage it so it should speed up rate at which you awuire xp, but not the amount.

I'm not 100% on that though.

That makes sense. This last character I maxed miner69er in order to get more resources (learned my lesson on how important harvesting is) and noticed my new character was rising up in levels faster (I'm the harvester / base-builder in the new gamne, so it became very apparent).

The amount of exp earned is proportional to the damage done to the block, so having higher mining tools + miner 69er will help you level faster, but it does not actually increase the exp any given block will yield.

Yeah I'm just not sure how the overflow works where if a block has 1hp left and you hit it for 200 damage do you get 1 how or 200hp of it's xp
