Although i'm confident in my club swings, my preference has definitely shifted towards the spear.
They should've removed the club part of the tutorial and changed it to the spear xd
Apparently in 18, ladders can be placed horizontally much like iron rails in 17.4 and the laws of physic do not apply. The zombies can't reach they have nothing they can destroy and - the spear kills them and the player remains untouched all for the cost of a bit of wood and some ingenuity. Exploits aside, that spear definitely was doing the job.
With that said though, I think I will wait for the stable version since there seems to be a cheap way around the AI already.
Broadcasts can be very educational.
Some people wanted a dumb AI that doesn't know what to do. We got it.
NO way to use melee weapons has a melee weapons, the zombies now have 5 meters away arms, you cannot hit they
Give a touch more reach to spears to compensate for lag as most people play the game online.
I did some experimenting on the reach of weapons, and they all reach much further than everyone seems to think; That or the latency on servers atm is real.
I was able to kill several groups of zombies with the fist weapon without getting hit in singleplayer; The zombies almost didnt even get to swing because of the absurd 2+ block reach of even the first weapons.
