This. It's easy to cherry-pick certain changes that would make the current version easier, but if you don't know how it fits into the overall balance of the new version, how could you judge?
What about changes that would make the current version harder? Like zombies enraging and jumping across gaps, sicknesses being easier to catch and harder to cure, gas being way more scarce, not being able to craft highest-quality items anymore, pre-existing fields of crops being dried up, no more harvestable concrete mix, ferals and radiated zombies doing +50% block damage, loot bonus perk and goggles being nerfed, etc.?
It was also covered that you seemed to have looked at all the things made easier without looking at any of the changes that made things harder..
Wait till you get to play it, and form your judgement from that experience.
Diseases, Gas, Enraged Zombies (lol nice meme), and god forbid i can only craft blue tier instead of purple.
Please, none of these increase the challenge of the early game, and by late game you're farming tons of shale anyways. The early game is, and always has been the hardest and most fun part of the game because of its difficulty. Sure the diseases are (kinda) a new factor but considering honey and antibiotics are plentiful curing it wont be an issue.
What's more they've removed all consequence for dying, replacing the stat debuff with LMAO less XP... yeah so now you can just yeet yourself and cure the disease at basically no penalty.
The enraged zombies crossing gaps doesnt matter, no one uses the staircase strat anymore anyways.
I sincerely feel your wasteing everyones time. How often are patch notes written in stone ? Especially with this teams history of " winging it " ?
You'd think adding 500hp to a car would make it faster and funner to drive but with every thing added you get 10 added challenges.
TFP's have been making this game for years, they know what theyre doing, the game is amazing and in time seems to balance itself out. Rarely is any 1 version the final version so why the panic ?
Every new version ppl do what your doing { pre judgeing } then end up eating humble pie and loving the final version, can we just skip the drama and wait until a few builds into 18 before lighting the bonfires and getting the pitch forks ?
It seems like you're trying to blindly praise them and if you like the changes that's good for you.
however I as someone who enjoys the difficulty of 7 Days to Die am saddened to see the game go in the easier direction as opposed to increasing the difficulty further. Everything about A18 screams easier.
No one forced you to click on this post, or to read it, no one's time is wasted at my expense. You read at your own risk.
In any event I'm not creating drama as much as I'm just disapointed at the direction the game is going (I.E. Easier) and simply voiced my complaint in the most logical place.
