Button to empty your hands?

I've not played 7DtD in a while but I vaguely remember that there were a couple of things you needed your hands free for to do them, but don't ask me which...

Anyways, Starbound for example has such a hands-free button which simply unselects your current hotbar slot so you're not wielding anything anymore, even though that's purely aesthetically in that game.
7DtD on the other hand has atleast a few actions that do require to not wield anything (at the very least ONE judging from the loading screen telling you how to drink directly from a watersource) yet such a key is sadly missing : /

So I'd like to kindly ask if it'd be possible to add such a key for that purpose so you don't need to either keep a slot free all the time or drop something and then pick it up again.

While this works, technically, it drops whatever you're holding on the ground. So if you do it, make sure to pick it back up
