Now disassemble the bike the same way you assembled it (hod down te activation button E and chose the storage icon). Remove all parts except the frame. Exit the menu. Hod down E again and this time chose the HAND icon to grab the frame.
Pu the frame i action bar. Place the frame on secure ground, reassemble the bike, fuel it, fill the storage with you stuff, grab the rest AND GTFO!
This is the best information ever... I'm so glad I randomly checked this out lol... I kind of assumed it was possible to disassemble the bikes, but I'd never tried :o
Your answer warms my heart!
Well this is a small part of what 2000+ hours of gameplay will teach you. Cheers!
I did same thing on day 49 except I was going so fast I hit the opposite wall of the canyon on the way down and could prevent damage by carefully "angle sliding" down. I had a nice shovel and tunneled my way up and out from just north of radiation zone. Broke the desert surface just at the stroke of midnight and ran like heck with backpack full of minibike parts (tossed all my days loot in favor of survival and minibike basically). Went back the next day and used wood frames to block off the hole in old road so I would not do that again on way.
P.S.
Keep a backup minibike disassembled in a secure chest just in case at base(s) when you get several purple engines/tires/batteries, the game has a way of trying to rid itself of minibikes.
