Can't find .44 Magnum for life of me

Been to the police station, the shotgun messiah stores, killed a ton of Cop zombies and lumberjacks, even killed a few ferals when spotted. I'm nearing day 40 and still do not have a .44. Any advice on where to look next? I'm at my wits end trying to get this schematic. I've got all of the parts and have every other single weapon schematic EXCEPT THIS. So disheartening ;_;

I've had good luck with the bookstore and mailboxes. Hopefully your scavenge skill is up there and you have points in Quality Joe. It's got to show up eventually.

100/100 scavenging but I haven't invested in Quality Joe yet. I'll try that out.

Thanks bro! I just found mine in a mailbox in Diervill (or however it's spelled). FINALLY! Got my magnum on day 41. 'do you feel lucky, punk?'

I never really need to look for a magnum, when you kill ferals it rains magnum parts.

That's brutal bro, because that's LITERALLY when this game gets 10x better: when you get a minibike and Auger.

I love equipping the Auger and just going stupid on an empty field. I can dig out a tunnel system in like 5-10 minutes what would take 45 mins with a pickaxe lol.. the Auger is definitely overpowered as hell for a mining tool..

A complete .44 Magnum cannot be looted in the vanilla game. You can only find the parts and assemble one.

The cop will never drop magnum parts, and only very rarely magnum bullets.

The parts are more likely to be looted from:

• Corpses
• Shotgun Messiah
• Ferals
• Ghost Town Zombies

But you can get lucky when searching backpacks, safes and stumps.

Ah, that makes sense, cause I was able to loot at LEAST 2x of every gun and never once stumbled upon an assembled magnum, just myriad parts. I'm definitely glad I found that Enforcer mag in a mailbox though, already got my Dirty Larry achievement

Once you get one going it's a realy nice change - look and feel - super fun to shoot - and even if you rock it just for cosmetics it actually has some serious stats to back it up. (But I'd use it even if it sucked strictly for badassery).

Now, if I could only find that Colt Python *wink*

Definitely! First thing I did was make ~240 magnum rounds and then I went to Diersvill and Gravestown. Spent the entire day practicing my Quickdraw McGraw :D

It's a tie between the Magnum and Sniper Rifle for favorite gun, although there's something disgustingly satisfying about the efficacy of the machete and how efficiently it decapitates..
