7 days to die (PC) and a local co-op (2 players)...
This is simply a suggestion but it would be great to have a couch co-op (SPLITSCREEN) option for the PC Version,

First, you would say ''Why do you need a couch co-op (SPLITSCREEN) on pc when you can buy a console and have it ?''

I'd say that it would be great to have this option since now, the steam link exist. Why wouldn't it be great ? I don't think that i'm the only one who only own and invest in his computer instead of heading to consoles, why should pc players be excluded from this option which is available on console ? Why would i have to buy a console simply to play 7 days to die in splitscreen on a lower version and a lower quality when i have a steam link and that i could simply play with my girlfriend on my pc?

It would bring even more players and would encourage them to buy the steam link which is a great way of profits for steam and yourself, even if there's a DLC being sold at like 20$ only to play in splitscreen i would definetly buy it, why in the hell should pc players be excluded when it comes to these kinds of options ?

I've seen many topic on the same subject and would really love it if the suggestion would be brought to the developpers and that they could answer...

(Sorry for the errors in my topic, i still have difficulties with my english grammar since my native language is french)

i dont see the need for a local co-op option, You can play co-op with the built in option or like me just rent your own server cheap enough. Pc by the way check the severs out there are loads few public and the rest private or pass protected so you dont really need co-op as its basically already there

For me it would be usfull, i suspect my 758kbs internet connection causes some performance problem when playing a co-op game with the other 2 people in my house. i should be able to use my 100MB lan connection. But im sure the game goues around the world 4 times before getting to my other PC's Lol.

No that's not how it works... only someone outside the LAN would use that 758kbs.

Start up a MP game, the other 2 people in the house can then right click your name in steam and join. The only thing that will cause lag is if your PC doesn't have enough memory to support a MP game.

Better yet use a spair PC in the house and create a dedicated server. Then you would all join it's local IP address.

I don't want to play co-op with others online, i want to play co-op with my girlfriend which doesn't have a strong enough pc to play with me and my friends who doesn't own a gaming pc, on the same screen, yes for some people it wouldn't be useful but for some it is a really nice option to add, don't tell me that you wouldn't like to play on the same screen with a friend !?! :/

ROFL. You mean split screen not local co-op m8. They are different things. As has been said Local co-op is connecting different PC's on a local network.

For anyone who says splitscreen wouldn't be used or not needed, you must not have many friends who come to visit. PC version is better because content but console version is that much better because of the fun you have with split screen. If a console can handle it, why can't my super beefed up rig handle it? If i have to down the graphics to do it, who cares? If you don't like splitscreen, don't use it. Every game has an ultra setting but can every pc handle it? No. Give us splitscreen please or at least make a beta version for it.

Now I am one of the idiots that has console and plays regularly on split screen but bought a PC and 7 days to die thinking my wife and I would get to play the upgraded version. For all those people saying why split screen on PC: Why not?? I have my PC plugged into TV with HDMI, I have controller support, and that is how I enjoy playing. We would like to be able to play with the longer line of sight and the upgrading building part on PC but we can't because PC doesn't allow it? This blows my mind and I am regretting buying this fancy "gaming" PC that won't let two people game at once. smdh

Yeah, this is what made me quit this game, sadly.

If you have to ask why not, just stick to console. Or search this very well discussed topic and see the many reasons first hand.

I appreciate the active responses that you all have given. I ranted a little while back so I wanted to give an update. I have got a refund for 7 days, purchased a second gaming PC for my wife, and then purchased the two pack of 7 days. We are now able to play together and we each have our own TV. We have got the Windows 10 to support our Ds4 controllers under 10ms latency too! So while I feel like PC should have splitscreen I have paid my way around that problem. PC sight is so much better and I am enjoying have my own screen.

YamaKami, please see the other post that has many more pages of people that agree with me. There is actually little reasons to not have it so to me it is a good question. Sorry for my heated messaged, it costs me a lot of money so I got emotional I guess.

I am unsubscribing to this one, cheers!

I don't get why we couldn't. Its a feature already on consoles, and I am looking forward to split-screen co-op aswell(or even on 2 screens).

So yes there is certainly a market for it, and I am also looking forward to it(especially since they advertised it aswell)
