Not Dying from Hunger/Thirst
My character is not dying from Thirst nor from Hunger!

On top of that, everytime the character dies, besides health/stamina not lowering below 70... the hunger/thirst just resets to 50? Seems like is better to keep your food reserves for dunno what since it doesnt seem to do anything.

Seems like I could just draw a zombie in the house and try to kill him there while respawning as many times is needed on my bed... which is also in the house.
Is it normal not dying from Thirst/Hunger and whats are the major consequences for dying a lot?

the consequence for not eating or drinking is lose of wellness and the min wellness is now 70
the major consequence of dieing is losing your wellness but when you hit the bottem of the barrel "70 wellness" it doesnt really matter if you die

you gringf and stay at 70 which as the time passess and the zees get harder, being that weak WILL gimp you hard.

Water and food= improved health and stamina bars= longer times to go without as much food or drink. a skill upgrade in the food and water perk, and one in stamina really makes a lot of difference I found

once you reach 0 food, it will take around 20 minutes before you start losing health
once you reach 0 water, it will take around 1 game hour before you start losing health.

If you will reach the 200 health with a smart playing you are nearly 3 times stronger than with 70.
Learn how to hunt (stag headshot & how near you can sneak to shoot him with a bow). Use a bone knife. Pigs are very easy to hunt, just run and shoot after them. For bears you need a higher place or barbed wire (placed on the floor).
From looting you get also a lot of food/drink. Look for water (sea, pool,...). If you can't see it on the map, mark it. Drink tea - yellow or red. Take all eggs when you searching for feathers. One meat and two eggs are one bacon and eggs (cooking pot) - gives great health. Later, when you are farming potato and corn you get stew - much better.

Before your hunger and thirst reset at 100% when you died, if I remember correctly. There are a lot of downsides to staying at 70 wellness.

You die a lot quicker if you get hit which is frankly annoying, especially if you drop everything on death. My first SP horde night I died like 20 times, it was quite frustrating even though I was respawning upstairs from the horde. Chances are when you die you won't be litterally in your base though so now you have to walk back to whereever you died to get your stuff back.

Your stamina depletes quicker so it takes longer to do just about anything. Trying to run somewhere and having to stop running and walk for a bit every few seconds sucks. If you are using a lot of stamina mining or chopping down trees or something it also sucks to have to stop and wait. I think you also do less damage (to blocks and mobs) when your stamina is lower, but I could be mistaken.

Oh and you do definitely die from hunger and thirst it just takes longer than you think it would.
