2 Story Crack-a-Book
Finally coming back to 7DtD after many many months away. First time setting foot into A16. I'm so happy to see the giant 2 story Crack-a-Books have been added back into the game. But I have a question. Does anyone know if its been placed anywhere in the Navezgane map? I've already seen the new town in the bottom right of the map and its got that new fangled skyscraper Crack-a-Book... I've been looking everywhere in Navezgane on creative mode, but I'm pretty much just looking for confirmation that its not been placed anywhere. (They placed the giant Working Stiff store back in...) I also ask because I saw the new Army Barracks in the desert of Navezgane and the last time I played 7DtD that wasn't added in yet. So anyone seen the 2 story Crack-a-Book?

PIcture for reference.

Is the 2 story Crack a Book POI that you are speaking of the one that is designed in the style of a castle? All stone architecture outside, large kitchen/delicatessan downstairs to the left. The POI that was also once very bugged and would collapse if you picked up one of the couches on the 1st floor the whole building would collapse. (that was fun)
Is this the POI that you are speaking of?

EDIT: Oh, never looked at the image --- ok, nevermind.

Bit much of a nightmare to boster the first floor of this building for me. To wide and to many windows and doors to build up defences for myself but would still be fun. I do love this POI. When it was first introduced it was not built properly as ii mentioned.

I'm not really sure if this POI is in Navesgane although I would think it is. Since Alpha 16 I have not htoroughly explored the static map of Navesgane like I once did. Before they expanded it greatly I knew the map like the back of my hand.

Yep. that building is a disaster waiting to happen. Loved exploring it, loved luring zombies in it... and removing ONE section of the leather couches. SPLAT!! Zed's R Dead.

From a15 to a16 the only buildings I know of that were added to navezgane specifically are in the new city in the south east

The rest of navezgane from what I've seen has not changed (at least not from a15 to a16)

What locations the devs bothered to make note of are in the release notes:
http://7daystodie.com/a16-early-streaming-release-notes/

4 new skyscrapers have been added to the game. We’re calling these mega locations vertical dungeons because they play like a traditional game with a lot of thought put into the path, enemy spawning, surprises, even secrets.
3 fast-food restaurants (1 in Navezgane, all 3 in RG)
6 new modern houses (3 in Navezgane all in RG)
Daycare (Both)
Private School (RG only)
Laundromat (Navezgane and RG)
Hair Salon (Navezgane and RG)
2 fire stations (1 Navezgane, both RG)
2 Post Offices (1 Navezgane, both RG)
2 Court Houses (1 Navezgane, both RG)
2 Old business strips (Navezgane and RG)
4 new trailer lots (RG only)
Pawn Shop (Navezgane and RG)
Navezgane Hospital and Football Stadium (added to RG)

If that old crack a book is on navezgane, I don't personally know where

As I play mostly RG games, is one of those new Skyscrapers the the epic Crack a Book highrise you can find in RG locations? Blue, I'll tell ya, if you can find civilization in Navesgane and find the Book store high rise, that thing will blow your mind. Each level gets better the higher you go, oh and hey guess what, full of sleepers...:) Least you got a good chance for schems and mining helmets. Good luck out there...

Yes I believe crack a book headquarters in the southeast of Navesgane. Its a new city, forget the name but serveral of the new POI skyscrapers are in that city in Navesgane in the Southeast.

See, that's the thing, though. Un-mentioned in those notes is the extra-large Working Stiff POI. It was removed in A14 and now its been re-implemented in a16. Its been added to the new town in the bottom-right corner of Navezgane. But nowhere in any patch notes is that mentioned, and I'm guessing its because its *technically* not a new POI, just an old one that just disappeared for a few alphas while it got a facelift. That's what makes me wonder about the 2-story Crack-a-Book. I've seen a few in random gen but lately I've been pretty hooked on Navezgane. (Since the only time you really have to start a new game while playing Navezgane is when a whole new alpha drops.)

The entire reason I'm so stuck on this particular POI is because I started playing in A13, and the first ever game I played, I wound up living there. I loved it. So much Nostalgia.... I was so happy to see it brought back this alpha but by now that I'm in the habit of preferring Navezgane over Random Gen..... Maybe I should get back into Random Gen.

Random Gen is considerably larger, just depends on what kind of experience you are looking for.

Another option: If you install coppi's mods you can also spawn in POI by name and put them wherever you want using prender, though you'll have to figure out the POI name from ...\Data\Prefabs\

Hey now, Kunovega! I'm liking this... Thanks for showing me this, man.

Alright, I don't want to spam up the forums with new topics, so I'll just ask here. Is it just me or are sleeper zombies........... Really easy to kill if you tag 'em before they get up? I don't think I've encountered a single sleeper that has failed to die from a single arrow to the head. (So long as it hadn't woken up yet.)

Well there is sneak damage multiplied, so often that is the factor.

Chances are you find a Feral still sleeping and hit him you won't get him in one shot.

^This. You'll also get to the point where Irradiated Cops and Irradiated Ferals are very common sleepers...head-shotting them with a Bolt while in sneak makes them wake up very, very angry.

However, Irradiated Spider Zs can still be one-shotted while they sleep, if you're in sneak mode.

Well probably, depends on what I was dreaming of when I got woken up.
---

Maybe he was dreaming of fat Fat-Irradiated Lady cops in tight spandex eating strawberry ice cream cones and letting the ice cream drip down thier thriple chins onto thier milky fat thighs and beer belly.
