Maple forest. Pine forest sees too much rain for me.

Same i prefer maple forest best biome in the game. And best biome to live in. Pine forest is not too great but still possible to live in.

Depends if you play PvP then it is the worst biome. Better to be in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ one as less likely to be found there by the largest threat. The other players.

Plains. Usually borders destert, wild corn everywhere, easy to obtain aloe/cotton for infinite health bandages. Also I wil set up in cities, early game trailors are op as they are already made of iron on day 1

I play single player. So far I like the snow biome the best. It's a bit harder to start out, but once you find warm clothing it becomes easier. The majority of the zombies are Frozen Lumberjacks, which are big nasty creatures that take more hits to down, but I've noticed the loot tends to be better and you tend to find alot of food loot.

Plus it's very bright on 7 day horde night.

burnt forest for me

but from a pure strategic standpoint Desert is the best

Ya desert is probably the easiest starting point. Overall I like forest lots of trees boulders and, hunting but not enough to survive on soly at the beginning at least. for hunting probably mid game is wolf hordes or I guess packs in this instance gives tons or meat and by that time you can get more from each.

Any biome but Wasteland and Burned...they're too depressing for me to make a permanent residence in either.

Maple forest though pine would be my second pick. I just like being in the woods.

I like to start in the desert. Easy to find food/drink (yucca) and medical (aloe), super easy to dig (it's sand instead of dirt) so you level fast and end up with a highly profitible mine (iron, oil, etc) all while stock piling small stone and sand (for concrete later).

Long term I like the maple forest, after stock piling from the underground desert operation I'll build something nice in a maple forest to live in, starting with concrete for the lower floors/walls/pillars and have plenty of access to wood for spikes and upper/interior areas that don't need to be zombie proofed

Other biomes are just to visit (mining or looting) and I'll typically only make small outposts in them

Desert (easiest to find food and water + aloe and oil for later).
Wasteland (iron, lots of it and people won't really bother you there so all the loot for yourself).
Burnt biome (dont need to bring 2 set of clothes in that one and same as wasteland for loot).

I absolutely despise forest and plains.
