Dedicated server stuck on "Starting Game"
I made a dedicated server, and had no issues until now. I was riding my bike, enjoying myself, when i drove up on a big chunk of land that had no detail, or grass. My bike just quit movinng, i got off and walked around it to see what was wrong. I couldnt get my bike to start moving again so i walked in front of it, and thats when i fell out of the map. I quit the game and server thinking when i started back up it would be better.......well now my game wont start at all, its stuck on "Starting Game". I know this is probably else where, and the "FIX" was discovered, but i cant seem to find my situation. The server save folder is default, F7 shows myself, but still wont start. My issue is broken map tile, or block..whatever its called on here, does anyone know how to fix this without dropping this map, i kind of dont want to loose all my♥♥♥♥♥♥lol

If the server is still active, open the command line and type "saveworld" or "sa", then issue the "shutdown" command to close it. Then, restart it and attempt to log back on.

Also - attempting to host a Dedicated server on the same machine that you are playing on, is just... bad, unless you have a crapton of RAM (32+), as this game can be a RAM-hog. Same with hosting SurvivalMP games, the game tends to have a memory leak after a while, especially if you have less than 16GB of RAM, it'll show.

If while logging back in, you do log on - and the ground is still missing, simply drop a wooden frame at the edge of ground that is still showing, before you land where it's gone. This should force the chunk to load.

Note that this was probably cause by a mix of a memory leak and de-sync from going at max speed on your minibike.

dude what the previous poster said is painfully true. If your server was memory bound it may have corrupted the world file.

On the bright side you can reset the map and keep your character. hurts but at least you have that,

i loaded in when my firend came to where i was supposed to be, unfortunatly our bikes wont move. I will try this wood frame idea to force the block to load

Open the command line from where? In steamcmd? The only way I have been shutting it down is killing the task. Would love to know how to run those commands

As mentioned above - or get a simple server manager like 7DTD RAT. Google it up my friend, you'll thank me.
