Glowstick
Not sure if something like this is in the game but this is a suggestion. A glow stick would be a light source and would be the weakest light source avaliable but it has infinite durability.

Also being able to toss it into a room for dim light while scavanging would be awesome.

Obviously even tho it would be the weakest source it should also have the ability to change colors.
