...And of course, no retrieving flaming arrows lol
Can I at least recover some of the parts to make new arrows, in partuicular the steel arrowheads.
Those that miss the target, goo luck finding them outdoors.
- Most of the time, can't retrieve
- Some of the time, only get the head
- Least of the time, get the full arrow back
If you wanted to get saucy, have headshots reward higher recovery chances, to incentivize improving your aim.
I fully believe that missing entirely should be punished by the arrow being completely destroyed, leaving nothing to recover.
Semi-related: I also believe that gun ammunition should leave some amount of scrap metals, allowing you to recover some of your expended materials if you take the time to police the bodies. Should never be higher than 50% return, though.
Shoudl be a chance when you shoot zombies with a bow and arrow (or crossbow or compound bow) that when you loot their bodies you get back some (or all) of your arrows. Figure a percentage chance, and first time the body is looted, apply it to each arrow hit. The arrows that make the percentage chance end up in the zombie loot.
Carbon fiber however, ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥, you would have so many little shards to worry about if it were to break. But in order to have things fly right, they must be properly tuned, but here in 7dtd we have better things to do than tune arrows that would actually be good.
I'd be on board with this. +1
"Sticky arrows" was mentioned in a live stream as being worked on though. So you can expect it to show up in some form more than likely. It's apparently related to the spear they are adding in. It can be thrown and retrieved, so that mechanic would then translate to arrows being retrievable in some form or other. Aside from that AFAIK there has been no mention of this outside of that live stream event.
