Eating Yucca raw

Should we not be penalized? Isn't it starchy and bitter and in some cases toxic to just chomp on the raw root of a yucca plant?

Considering how little food it actually provides, perhaps small parts of the plants can be safely consumed

Figure they were using Fallout NV banana yucca as a guide which treated raw banana yucca as both filling dehydration and starvation, which is why it gives stamina and you can make a pretty useful free drink out of empty jars for travelling the desert biome.

Guess it depends on if you're eating the root, or the fruit. TFP is probably going with the fruit route.

True, like eating bananas, have to eat through the stem, first bite is always the hardest, it hurt but the rest is pretty easy afterwards

Lol I try to stack up on them they so easy to get in the desert if you don't over heat or die of hydration ..... thats one thing they don't provide water.

Yeah I need to re get those I thought I could empty them by scraping them and then accidently ate the glass haha

yucca is a fruit, its not even a very good fruit either xD that would be like an apple poisoning you for eating it

Use some leather to make a poncho, and some plant fiber to make the plant fiber hat. Gives -30 insulation, which should be far more than enough to counteract the +8 you'd be getting from plant fiber armor in the other four slots.
