Horde only comes in first 2 hours?
Hello everyone,

The first time i played 7dtd was around christmas of this year. My group and I had a lot of fun and enjoyed it then we quit til now. Since we have started playing, we have noticed one major difference on the horde nights: A MASSIVE amount of zombies come for the first hour or two, then it's all quiet on the western front for the rest of the night. I'd prefer a horde night where either the massive horde continues all night or a little less but still throughout the whole night. I've been using a pre-fab server so I'm not sure if there are any server options I need to change.

Thanks for any help you can give!

This was only the daylie wandering horde. All 7 days you get the Bloodmoon horde

Be carefull, the wandering horde can contain many Dogs and Zombie bears.
But you can hide from them.

With a bit expierience you will be able to skip them. But if you are in a big base they tend to try to go through that base.

There are a limited number of zombies, and it is fairly easy to kill them all for the first couple of hordes. However, your Gamestage should then be high enough to keep the reinforcements coming all night. Stick with it, it _does_ get harder :-)

That IS how it works, early game. Not sure if it's intentional or a bug, but on future Day 7's (14,21, 28) and as you level up, you'll get more and more, and they'll spawn later and later....unless server has zombie count too low.

I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure OP is referring to zombie spawns during the Blood Moon horde and how they do not continue to spawn until the end of horde night.

The two hour I think is from 10pm until midnight... I've experience this too every BloodMoon...
The Z's stop coming after midnight, new or additional ones anyway. But you have to make do on the straglers... for me anywayz...
Except if there are screemers... I try not to kill those right way so I can have more Z's to kill...

I'm having the same issues in Vanilla(V) and modded worlds but only noticed this since A18 as I skipped most of A17. I was playing V and noticed my horde died out really early so upped my zombies to max and same thing happened. So I started my first ever modded world (WOTW)(also on max Z count), I'm currently heading for 3rd horde, game stage is over 175 and am around lvl 60-70. My hordes are so short/small I've pulled 5 hordes in one night using the reloading save method and again every horde was done and over before I could blink. The only thing I can think of that might help in making the horde feel longer lasting is to up the difficulty of the game itself say from adventure to survivalist for instance but all that's doing is making the Z's spongy.

Upping your zombies to max will cause you to gush through the entire horde faster. The default is 8 zombies at a time. You can lower that to make it last longer because it will slow their advance.

The other thing you can do is add additional waves in the xml. Right now there are two main waves and then a trickle wave until morning.
