Report a translation problem
Turns out the problem was the application rules in my firewall got wiped and EAC ports blocked. Re-added the game and EAC in the firewall rules and it started working again. This normally doesnt happen.
It worked randomly, just by trying over and over again. Then rinse and repeat cause it happens every time

I discovered that an EAC file that should exist didn't. The file is "%AppData%\Roaming\EasyAntiCheat\17\easyanticheat_wow64_x64.eac" and it was simply missing. A friend sent me his via email, I copied it in place and EAC started working again. Why the "repair" and re-install didn't replace this file I do not know. Seems like a bug.
If you do not have a mac just delete EAC and reinstall it.
