A way to lower hits to kill zombies?
Am TRYING to enjoy this game, but the balance is crazy off.
I mean it takes WAY too many hits, even head shots to kill anything.
its just not fun.
how would one go about lowering their HP?

Have you tried the easiest difficulty level? You get a damage multiplier versus them. Unfortunately it also makes them hit like a soft breeze. So if that's your problem modding the xml files (which im crap at) would be your only real option.

Ill look up messing with the xml file, thanks!

first you need to get a good text editor program.
(I would recommend Notepad++, It's free)
then you need to find and edit the entityclasses.xml in the 7daystodie>data>config folder

then search through the file for zombie entities for the line containing;
<property name="MaxHealth" value="xxx"/>

change it's value to anything lower than the original one, to make them "squishier".

(notepad++ has an excellent search feature)

Lower the difficulty setting. The only thing it significantly effects is the zombie hitpoints.

Of course it's your game to play as you see fit, but if you shortcut the zeds health, then there is little point in progression or perks. Honestly in a few days and once you get some better weapons the zombies will fall fast enough.

If you have lowered their health, at that point you might as well just play zombie off mode because you will be cleaving them with no effort or risk.

I had not thought of progression, I really have not been able to play long enough to learn anythign about the game.
it gets too hard, too fast

Easy solution: When you first start.. avoid contact with zeds... collect basic resources .. build some ladders up a tree and make a small tree fort (hunters platform) to set up your camp. Usually, if the hordes come by.. you can go into stealth mode and they won't be aware of your presence.. just avoid tthem till you build up resources / supplies.. an try only taking on one zed at a time till you get hang of it. Sure, you'll die.. it happens.. but, at least you'll have a safe place to spawn.

And don't forget you can carry some wood stakes in your toolbar to help even up the odds in case of multiple zeds, or dog pack attacks.
